I had not been able to make my STS recognize or learn the signal from my aircon remote as well....

u just have to click on register device = learn from a remote control,

category i choose Others,then start to learn button commands

I did EXACTLY what you did. The STS failed to recognize the signal coming out from the remote! Damn.... But the other remotes are OK. The TV, the Astra Beyond, DVD player, ceiling fans, even my camera's IR remote! But just not the damn aircon! Grrr......

I think aircond control is very tricky. Each settings has different command. U may try to set each command individually, ie fan speed low, fan speed med and fan speed high. If ur aircond has lcd panel then trobleshooting might be easier. Mine doesnt hv.

Coz come to think about it, when STS first came out, price also quite high, so now probably a good time since price dropped. and by the time the "V150" come out, might be priced ard 2k or so. (just my guess la)

I tried Before with a rc helicopter, the mini one, i can make it up and down, diagonal flying its hard to set on the remote..lol...

the remote control thing is fun, i read the remote of the radio of my office of 1 of my colleague which is i troll her by switching the volume up and down!

ive been playing around my tab 7 plus IR too. switching off TVs in public..hahahah
but cant seems to control astro decoder..

You will need to use your tablet to learn the decoder's signals first before you can use it on other astro sets.
