freeze is better, you can always unfreeze it later.  for better ram management, try supercharger script.
*
supercharger script compatible with our sgw? i want to try, but put on hold because afraid its not compatible with the device.

Easy rooting toolkit (v3.0)
                    created by DooMLoRD
        using exploit zergRush (Revolutionary Team)
Credits go to all those involved in making this possible!
---------------------------------------------------------------

[*] This script will:
      (1) root ur device using latest zergRush exploit (16 Nov)
      (2) install Busybox (1.18.4)
      (3) install SU files (binary: 3.0.3 and apk: 3.0.6)

[*] Before u begin:
      (1) make sure u have installed adb drivers for ur device
      (2) enable "USB DEBUGGING"
            from (Menu\Settings\Applications\Development)
      (3) enable "UNKNOWN SOURCES"
            from (Menu\Settings\Applications)
      (4) [OPTIONAL] increase screen timeout to 10 minutes
      (5) connect USB cable to PHONE and then connect to PC

make sure u have installed adb drivers for ur device.....what this mean??

what is adb driver?
i search online but must root to use it, but now b4 root i have to make sure i install this??
*
after u connected ur device, try run adb devices at command prompt, if no device listing, it can be due to no drivers or u not enable usb debugging.

guys,

managed to run the supercharge script, it really helps in running multiple apps (multitasking) since the ram is quite small for this device.

im impressed with the scripts so far.

cheers.

Everyone who is still asking how to go to recovery mode, can try this. I have used this before, and its working in my SGW.

Get from kaskus.us, so credit goes to them.

**********************************************

1. matikan hp
2. pencet tombol Volume Up, tombol Tengah & tombol Power secara bersamaan, tahan sampe hidup, setelah keluar tulisan "Samsung" lepas tombol power, kemudian lepas juga tombol Volume Up dan tombol tengah
3. setelah keluar gambar kotak panah logo droid, pencet sekali tombol Menu (tombol kiri)
4. akan keluar menu recovery, tinggal pilih mau apa, hehehe

if yes, then ok, cause i want this.

2) can i use the ics theme as post at xda, cause that is using custom rom from europe, but yours is for asian?

yes and yes!

after flashing to my ROM, you can 'flash' it again using the ICS.zip to get ICS theme biggrin.gif

ps: that 'flash' ICS will only replace framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk to change the theme, so, it wont affect others biggrin.gif

thanks, now just finished the flashed of RZrecovery smile.gif

2.3.6 cannot be root lah. we all rooted at 2.3.5 only smile.gif

if you want 2.3.6 rooted, then install custom rom better.
