Is it possible to do the rooting, recovery, flashing, and install rom by using the andriod phone itselves. no need to go through pc.

not really sure about it's stability. so far no crash or anything.. but i have only tested this new kernel for a few hours. Will let your guys know if anything. but i suspect it'll be stable biggrin.gif

the impact of battery also have not measure. i hope some tester will tell me after i release this ROM later.

i suspect the impact of battery is not much if you dont do a lot of gaming.

this is because there is CPU governor that control the speed of the CPU. in most idle time, like flipping screen, etc, it will use only minimal speed. Currently, I am still using OnDemand governor, although i heard smartass2 governor is better... may be will change that next time...

in on demand governor, CPU will increase to max speed only on demand. so, if you just call, text, use phone normally, it will not run at max speed.

but if u game a lot, well, i suspect battery will got drained quicker. well, with more power, more heat also... i haven't test the heat part too... hope some testers will let me know.

as of now, this should be the fastest SGW there is biggrin.gif

hotter = fast android
hotter = heat generate from cpu

hahaha...just joking around. if OC to 1.8 then can support ICS rite?

ics runs fine even on slower processor g think. it was never an issue. main constrain is the partition size of the w and the 512mb ram...

wow... congrats....

i wonder how low it can go with undervolting kernel...

anyway 1.8ghz does seem a bit overkill for this phone...

the ram is fixed, can't change it... unless you want to desolder the ram from the SoC....

use SetCPU
it can do a stress test
if it survives means its quite stable

i oc my optimus 2x to 1.5ghz, once stress test it directly overheat and jam biggrin.gif doh.gif
totally overheats at 1.5ghz sweat.gif
Have to pull out the battery, let it cool down, only can turn on.
Its running stable on 1.4Ghz though with no sign of overheating when playing Asphalt 6 (thats the only game i have on my phone other than angry birds)

hmmm . . . i wonder when will people start modifying android phones to accept larger rams . . . hmm.gif
it will be so good if can have 4GB ram like on computer rclxm9.gif

I don't think ICS will have any problems running with the 1.4GHz processor.

Never look 'forward' (instead of back... tongue.gif ) Once you looked forward, you'll see S2, Note, Razr, Nexus, Razr Maxx, HTC Rezound(This is really a killer... Higher DPI than Retina display!),...... You should always look 'back' to what you have in your hand. Most realistic laugh.gif

Oh... I mean a killer screen. 1280*720 squeezeeeed in 4.3". Crazy enough
