Anyway, just an update - purchased the Live Custom instead, will arrive only on April, but paid it now so no GST.
Guess this is like the best time to get all the instruments we can before GST strikes.

Hahaha, don't think I need to - just found out from the Subang Parade sales person that they just received one unit yesterday. Its on display. Probably drop by tomorrow night to check it out.

Anyways, just want to check what do you guys think about Mapex drums?

Personally, I think the drum does not sound punchy. Tried the armory series.

Hahaha sadly never heard the sound before. Youtubing now.
Next on my list is to get Premier drum since they have shifted all their manufacturing back to UK instead of mass produce in china.

Hopefully budget enough in March. LOL.

Carpet your floor man, them hi-hat stands and kick stand have spikes under them. Carpet helps since Yamaha included velcro straps under the kick stand.

Next thing to do, go download Yamaha MusicSoft apps. Can download additional songs there. And the new ver 2.0 DTX-502 touch. Am using that to teach my students. Pretty neat since they have converted their songs into either a normal music chart or either a rock band view. Pretty neat.

enjoy your yamaha dtx532k. Hahaha seen a lot of this set at my student's houses lol.

Then in the near future, my advice. Change the e-cymbals to real cymbals. The playing experience will be so much more natural.

Just placed a order for Yamaha DTX562K. Now I'm researching to buy a decent drum amplifier for practice. Still not sure satellite monitor or a keyboard amp is better. Was eyeing for the Yamaha MS50DR about RM1800, I wonder if there is any better amp out there than this with this kind of budget?

hi I have a yamaha dtx532 its quite old. I want to get a bigger set. I was thinking either the roland td-30kv or the yamaha dtx 900/950. I would like to ask any drummers what they recommend. The music I like playing to is rock like metal rock. Can you guys give your opinion on the ones I should buy. Looking for a kit with great value for money. And I've been playing drums for quite sometime. Just wanted a bigger kit. Thanks yea 

Hey man! Timing still a bit wonky here and there - that's the main issue. At times it feels like you're following the song, instead of playing along with it. But you're getting better though! And I love the fact that you're still using those Fusion hats I sold you years ago! Sometimes I still regret letting them go. HAHA

Not bad. My first song whe learn drum. Also my favorite Metallica song. I try play on keyboard as well.

How u manage to record? Is it your house isolated? Cos I want play with real drum sound also very susah lo

Hi sifu all. I want ask always when I play other ppl kit many times their Tom is at one angle quite Horizontal that when I try play will hit the rim easily. I need angkaty elbow very high to avoid hit the rim. Usually I adjust more vertical to able hit the Tom easily.

I want ask is it my playing wrong or wat that I encounter many ppl put the Tom quite Horizontal? How they avoid hit the rim?

No I mean like u can practice with full drum sound and record? Neighbour or other ppl no complain? For me actually I never even heard my own drum kit real sound more than 5 times before lol

Not sleeping then not disturb them also? Cos very loud pom pom pom like construction.

I need an advise from you all. I am a newbie/beginner here. I got a TD-4KP e-drum set. I am currently looking at buying an amplifier.

Due to budget constraints, I have short listed the following 2 models:

Laney AudioHub AH-FREESTYLE

Orange Crush Pix CR25BX Bass Combo Amp

I need some advise in choosing a suitable one for drumming. 

Any other better brand/model within the same price range?

My Vic Firth Headphone broke again.  Thinking of buying a new headphone with good noise isolation while playing drum. Has anyone use Audio Technica M40x for drumming?
For now, I'm using the Vic Firth as ear muff and a cheap earphone for play along with drum but I need more noise isolation to protect my ear.

I have bought ATH-M50x headphone instead. Man... the sound quality alone is really good.
Comfortable for drumming. No wonder the ppl in pearl forum recommending it.
