why say so?
If i pay with fortune cc , ths transaction will appear in cc statement.
*
Well, you mentioned pay with Hong Leong Connect, I am assuming you have both Saving/Current accounts and Credit cards. That's why I said if it appears in your Fortune card (if paid with credit card).

i just got the RM1800 rebate on last month and now my real cash got over RM2300 on the very first year~ at first thought the yearly accumulative is based on 1 Jan to 31 Dec because i received the yearly summary on Dec statement and wasted the expenditure from Sep to Dec 2015 but luckily they gave me the RM1800 payout on Sep 2016 statement and the yearly total expenses is based on the starting date of my credit card~ Thank you Hong Leong Bank for having the very best credit card in the world with an approximately 1.96% cash back on my other expenses excluding petrol, dining, grocery and online purchasing~
*
tan_aniki, do you know if government expenses are also included into the yearly total for 108k in order to qualify for RM1800?

I can still see it:

Personal => Credit Cards => Choose a Credit Card => Cashback => Fortune Card

https://www.hlb.com.my/main/personal/cards/fortune-card

BUT, it looks like a new card with a paywave feature right? My current card is black and gold squarish patterns, and no paywave.
*
thanks! must be my screen size. I can see it now.

Yes.

At the end of statement year. Yes.

Oh, the cashback gets interest, too.

Is it okay to pay for company bills with credit card ? And claiming it back ? Will it create isssues with LHDN ?
*
Unless your claim-back became additional income (i.e. income tax apply) on paper?
But if so, I doubt you want to pay company bills with personal credit card.

Thinking whether I should get this card, am getting fed up with the measly 0.6% from my HLB Essential card. Most of the months , I don't hit the RM5000 to get the 1% CB. But with the Fortune card, I would benefit more.
*
why won't you consider maybank FC Barcelona?

Is it applicable for principal & supplementary spending combined or separate for each card? Meaning, swipe 12x or spend 8k a year for both principal and supplementary cards to waive both cards' annual fee or need to do it separately to get waiver for both cards meaning swipe 12x or spend 8k for each card (24x or 16k in total) to waive the annual fees for both cards? How about the Essential card? Is it the same for that card?
*
It's combined.

Fortune card is only good if you spend more than 2000 a month, cause it comes with bonus payout at the end of the annual renewal, in addition to the monthly cashback.

If you are not going to meet the minimum 2000 spending per month, go for Essential.

hi guys

my card was approved 2 weeks ago but i've yet to receive it

called and ask they say latest by today

and they say today if still dont receive pls call them again and they will mark the card as stolen and give me a new card (which will take another 3-5 days)

self collect at branch of my choice sweat.gif
then i asked why take so long to deliver since its already approved more than 2 weeks ago

the CS reason was they are using normal pos so it also depends on the pos man of handling the delivery

whutt? lol
so now i gotta wait till 6pm if still dont have the card i have to call HLB tonight to complain again sweat.gif

not sure

according to the CS's explanation she just said normal post sweat.gif

so i guess, can consider it as a lost parcel?
*
normal snail mail has no guarantee of delivery. It could be lost, or it could be delay. I have experienced 3 weeks delay for a post within KL itself.
when the card is reported lost and blocked, the next day, the mail arrived.

If you needed the card urgently, advise you to collect from branch better.

the mail arrived with new card or the previous card that you've reported lost/stolen? hmm.gif
*
unfortunately, the previous card.
And you can't unblock it once it is blocked. So I ended up waiting for another week to get the new card (surprised that this time it can be delivered within 1 week).

I'm not worry about stolen inactive card, no one can use it until it is activated.

want to ask , for this card ,

Min spend RM2K per month is GOOD ? why
and , to hit 108K ......monthly need 9K
if i got lucky , after 6 month already hit 108k .....i get the 1800 immediately ?
or need to wait full 1 year ?

this card , get RM50 cap monthly
and 1800 if hit 108k ,
what else benefit ? thank you
*
after you hit 108k, you will only get the 2k monthly RM50 CB. The RM50 CB if you don't withdraw will continue to enjoy FD board rate.
the 1800 payout only gets paid at the end of your card anniversary.

so , it's good to keep the CB to enjoy FD board rate ?
*
Board rate is usually lower than promo rate. But one year only RM600 CB and you accumulate RM50 every month, you won't feel any difference lah.
So, it's up to you if you want to keep it or withdraw. No pressures.
