QUOTE(devilkid84 @ Feb 14 2019, 09:56 AM) YEs TQ, so that is the same 1% CBQUOTE(Barricade @ Feb 14 2019, 10:29 AM) yesQUOTE(lilsunflower @ Feb 14 2019, 04:19 PM) This is actually your 1% monthly cashback capped at RM50. Noted TQ, just wonder why every statement it must show that line daily earning rebates RM50 =0To redeem you go to "other services" then "redeem Fortune credit card" on HLB online. DO you remember reading abt a forumner was given the bonus rebate at end 2018, half way before his Fortune card full 1 yr annivesary so unable to accumulate full RM108k swipe to earn the max bonus RM1880 cashback? meaning now the bonus cash back will be paid end of every year and not wait till each Fortune card anniversary month? |

QUOTE(ckh83 @ Feb 18 2019, 03:54 PM) Same issues happen to my account. I contact HLB and they say will claw back the bonus and follow anniversary. when is your Fortune card anniversary date? Most of us need 12 months to collect total spend RM108,000 We lose if RHB calculate bonus end Dec 2018 when only used card few months. How much the claw back Bonus in your case? Not policy change ?-calculate bonus in December every year disregard our card anniversary dates |

QUOTE(LemonJane @ Sep 18 2019, 10:02 PM) The monthly bonus is 1% of your month's spending (minimum RM2,000) up to RM50.00 for card spending of RM5,000 and above. Say your 1 year cycle is from 1.11.2018 -30.10.2019 and you hit target RM108k swipes early, ie on 25.9.2019, you get your RM1800 bonus early. The annual bonus is credited on your card anniversary, if you hit the spending target. Some posts here said if you hit the target earlier, you would be credited with the bonus earlier than your card anniversary date. I have not experienced this so I'm not sure. I track my spending/use the Live Chat function to ask for my year-to-date spend figure from the last anniversary date. When I know I'm close but not quite there, I would shift some of my expenses usually paid with other cards to Fortune Visa or pay extra for my phone, electricity, mobile etc. in the final month. To redeem, what you do is you click "other services" on Hong Leong Connect and click "redeem Fortune Credit Card Rewards", you will be able to see the "Real Cash Earnings Amount", just follow the steps and you will have the amount credited to your account. You can do this monthly for the monthly earned amount or you leave it there and redeem at one go together with the annual bonus. Happy spending. I'm into the start of my 3rd year with this card. then you swipe again another RM9000 in Oct 2019, I heard that RM9k swipe in Oct 2019 will still get RM50 monthly CB but not sure if that 9k swipe is considered as part of the next RM108k target or not, since the next cycle starts only from 1.11.2019 Any one got experience? QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Sep 20 2019, 01:29 AM) From my experience, when I hit the RM108k and got my bonus "early" (in Jan 2019 instead of my usual anniversary on 31 Mar / 1 Apr 2019 - my cycle ends in Mar): sounds like whatever additional swipes before the new cycle starts might not be counted (towards achieving next RM108k)?- I still received the RM50 monthly CB for subsequent months (Feb and Mar) - On 1 April (my usual anniversary), there is a line item saying "YEARLY BONUS REBATE RM0.0". Based no the above, I therefore infer that your normal "cycle" will be maintained no matter how early you hit the RM108k, and that spending will be tracked within that fixed annual cycle. I never bothered "confirming" with CS as I like to do trial and error for myself, but just sharing my experience. You track your spending can find out the answer by the time achieve next RM108k target. Whether next RM108k target included those additional swipes in the old cycle or not. |

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Sep 20 2019, 01:58 AM) I believe it's not counted. future of the Bonus is uncertain, before HLB stops it better hurry up (hit 108k)OK - still got many more months before that happens, and I hope by then the current benefits will still be in place. For the last round I only exceeded my RM108k by RM15k (Jan to Mar, spent only RM5k/monthly exactly). For this round, I am almost halfway through my annual cycle, but only spent RM56k to date. Perhaps I will only be able to hit RM108k in my normal anniversary month of March 2020. I keep detailed manual records to make sure I am on track, as there is almost a 1k CB difference between the 68k and 108k thresholds and I don't want to miss out on the full RM1,800. QUOTE(LemonJane @ Sep 21 2019, 05:46 PM) Right I also believe the card spend after early achievement of the annual bonus target will just earn you the monthly RM20.00 - 50.00. Logically it should not be counted in the new cycle. Otherwise the cycle will keep on shifting and you will lose track of your spending by the anniversary period. Yeah, if it is counted HLB gonna pay more and more RM1800 (in shorter and shorter period...….) since they pay Bonus early when RM108k hit. |

Hong leong Connect 0% FPP,
anyone here use FPP Credit of new purchases as payment to offset statement balance? Eg Fortune Card statement dated 31.1.2020 , amount due RM10000 (actual retail transactions RM5000, another Rm5000 from previous FPP installments) by 20.2.2020. Say you swipe RM10000 after statement date, eg 5.2.2020 and applied for another FPP for it, do you guys use this FPP Credit RM10,000 as payment to ffset that statement amount RM10000 due on 20.2.2020 , that means you dont make any payment at all to that statement dated 31.1.2020, sort of using new FPP to pay them all. |

QUOTE(tan_aniki @ Feb 12 2020, 09:54 PM) It doesnt matter the FPP is done before statement or before, as long as ur FPP value is more than ur statement then u dont need to pay for the month. Thanks, that was what i thought correct i had done it that way few months back and ok. Now the HL chat agent said FPP credits only offset retail transaction cant be use as payment for FPP installments portion in the statement. going to ignore her. QUOTE(tan_aniki @ Feb 12 2020, 09:54 PM) That does not sound right, we swipe RM6000 converted to FPP installments RM500 x12, you mean HLB would not take that RM6000 swipe into consideration as part of the target RM108k? To me, RM6000 will be considered but the monthly RM500 x12 would not. Is this what you mean? Cant be RM6000 not considered and the RM500 x 12 also not considered right?.. need more people to clarify this important issue. This post has been edited by guy3288: Feb 12 2020, 10:40 PM |

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Feb 12 2020, 10:52 PM) Your posts should be correct. If you take the other interpretation, then any spending converted into FPP would not even qualify for the monthly cashback (which does not make sense). I can confirm that I have been maxing out on FPP every single month and have got full monthly CB. thanks for clarificationMy anniversary month is March. I always plan my spending to be only slightly above 108k. I will confirm if I get the full annual CB amount then. If you deduct my FPP, I don't think I even qualify for second tier hahahaha. PS:@lilsunflower, Do you use FPP credit as payments to offset FPP installment due? |

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Feb 13 2020, 12:17 AM) Yes - I treat FPP credits as "payment" and have never incurred charges. thanks, that is what i will do.Looking at my Fortune Feb 2020 statement: I have 6 separate FPP instalment charges amounting to RM6,300 Then I have RM10k retail expenditure I did an FPP conversion of FPP15,000 (credited), leaving RM1,300 outstanding Then for next statement, I just paid balance to zero This is my usual pattern for all my cards (HLB Fortune, Essential, VI) and I don't even bother tracking FPP instalments vs credits, as I just make sure that credits for the month = statement balance. |

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Feb 16 2020, 11:53 PM) At one point I had 7 0% FPP running on the same Fortune card. Basically each subsequent FPP kept rolling on to pay the next... Every time I saw 0% FPP, I whacked all the way, except for months where I had insufficient credit limit. For this reason I request for permanent CL increase with each annual salary hike. and we keep our money till next statement |

Surprised finding in Hong Leong Connect today,i dont expect anymore 0% 12 month FPP becos all my swipes uptodate already applied/converted to FPP. Just now i saw RM6000 FPP on offer there again, mistake by HLB? take it man, free credits.. next statement again no need to use my own money. Anyone experience this? You already converted all your swipes to FPP and there is no more new swipe spending, yet you login and see HL Connect offer RMx000 0% 12 month FPP? |

QUOTE(Barricade @ Feb 23 2020, 07:26 AM) Not really interest in this FPP. No matter how many times you FPP you still end up paying the same amount. I prefer to spend my time and energy on getting real cashback from other cards Cashback of course is first priority, but after getting CB,we want more. interest free 'loan', Balance transfer, FPP and what have you... |

HL wise card I read it says if swiped Petrol on Sun, posted on Monday--> still earn weekend Cash ! How about Fortune card? Max Fortune monthly cash back is RM50 if swiped RM5000 a month/statement cycle. My statement date 31st every month , so the cashback cycle = Calendar month I have maxed out Rm5000 for Feb Cashback quota. Question is if i swipe today 29.2.20 and it gets posted tomorrow 1.3.2020, would it be considered as Mac transaction cashback? TQ |

Fortune card is coming to its end 1.9.2020
Wonder if HLB will ask us to pay one shot all those FPPs or will still allow us to pay installments, mine is till Jan 2021 |

A: Your Installment Plan(s) will still be active until you fully settle the outstanding balance but you cannot use your existing card effective 1 September 2020. My installment about RM5000 a month, 4 more to go, about RM20,000. Any idea if i put RM20k in the Fortune card account this week, would there be penalty early settlement? (UOB offered me RM80k 0 interest BT) |
