This is my second year in using the HLB Fortune card. I have earned RM50 monthly plus RM1,800 on my card anniversary month last year.
The generous bank has been dishing out 12 month 0% balance transfer and flexible payment plan this year which I have applied and was approved some RM 20,000, to be repaid over 12 months without any interest. Now, I just realise it says in the terms and conditions that the cumulative annual qualifying spend would exclude balance transfer and FPP amount.
My questions is whether the repaid amount during the year will still be counted for the purpose of the annual real rewards?

daniel7910 what do you mean when you said "payment to your balance transfer account will not count"?
Just to make it clearer as to what I meant in my original question:
Let's say the bank has approved me an FPP of RM20,000 and Balance transfer of another RM10,000. Assuming I have hit RM120,000 spending this year however my qualifying spend will be cut down to RM90,000. So according to the terms and conditions of the card, I would not get RM1,800 cash reward on my card anniversary, though I would still get RM680.
Assuming I have repaid RM 20,000 during the year for both FPP and BT, do you think the bank may add back my repayment amount of RM20,000 so that the "adjusted" qualifying spend becomes RM110,000 such that I would still earn RM1,800?

Just checked in here and read the news about HLB stopped issuing Fortune card in December 2018. Any body here that has card which reached expiry after this date and what happened? Did you get a renewal?

No renewal. After your card expired that's it.
*
Means I will have only until 2021.
So the below is not going to happen then:

"Insider information from my friend working at HLB

Existing cardholder can still continue to spend with fortune card and enjoy cash back as per BAU

Request for card replacement

So when ur card going to expired and no new replacement sending over can request for card replacement and bank got no right to cancel ur card until u request to cancel.

This is what my friend told me"

I just apply replacement card for my fortune due to my card unable to use paywave
Hongleong replace my card free and extend the expiry year from 2021 to 2024
*
Great news! Now there is life after 2021 hahaha

Do you guys think the bank may have decided to continue the card? Because if the announcement to stop issuing Fortune card was in December 2018, I guess the cards issued then would be valid till December 2023. But our friend here gets his extended to 2024!

Those who get your annual bonus, is that bonus credited together with the RM50? Or separately?
*
The monthly bonus is 1% of your month's spending (minimum RM2,000) up to RM50.00 for card spending of RM5,000 and above.
The annual bonus is credited on your card anniversary, if you hit the spending target.
Some posts here said if you hit the target earlier, you would be credited with the bonus earlier than your card anniversary date.
I have not experienced this so I'm not sure.
I track my spending/use the Live Chat function to ask for my year-to-date spend figure from the last anniversary date.
When I know I'm close but not quite there, I would shift some of my expenses usually paid with other cards to Fortune Visa or pay extra for my phone, electricity, mobile etc. in the final month.
To redeem, what you do is you click "other services" on Hong Leong Connect and click "redeem Fortune Credit Card Rewards", you will be able to see the "Real Cash Earnings Amount", just follow the steps and you will have the amount credited to your account.
You can do this monthly for the monthly earned amount or you leave it there and redeem at one go together with the annual bonus.
Happy spending. I'm into the start of my 3rd year with this card.

I believe it's not counted.

OK - still got many more months before that happens, and I hope by then the current benefits will still be in place.

For the last round I only exceeded my RM108k by RM15k (Jan to Mar, spent only RM5k/monthly exactly).

For this round, I am almost halfway through my annual cycle, but only spent RM56k to date. Perhaps I will only be able to hit RM108k in my normal anniversary month of March 2020. I keep detailed manual records to make sure I am on track, as there is almost a 1k CB difference between the 68k and 108k thresholds and I don't want to miss out on the full RM1,800.
*
Right I also believe the card spend after early achievement of the annual bonus target will just earn you the monthly RM20.00 - 50.00. Logically it should not be counted in the new cycle. Otherwise the cycle will keep on shifting and you will lose track of your spending by the anniversary period.

applied essential supp and the CS call me back for verification.
i asked them whether they will send me renew Fortune cc and supp card before expiry date and she told me will send one month before expiry, if less than 2 weeks still didn't receive just call them.
so what my sis in law who work in hlb said is true, the fortune will continue for existing customer even though discontinued for new customer.

This is great news

My fortune card is removed from HLB Connect. I wonder how to claim that RM1800 end of this month. My card anniversary date is 25th Sept
*
I have 4 supp cards under me, today I can see the card balance in my daughter's name under her card number. Mine and my 3 other cards have been removed from HLB Connect! It's as if the supp-card holder has now become the principal card holder. I asked the CS on Live Chat and she kept on saying "you can't use the card anymore", asked further, she said"you can only see your FPPs in your statement". I was trying to make her understand that the outstanding account should be in my name and my card number, not my daughter!

Those of you still having Fortune account on Connect (because you still have active FPPs) and waiting for information on the annual real rewards, check the amount of "Last payment", if it's not your actual last payment, it should then be your annual rewards amount + any cumulated monthly rewards you may have on your last statement.

The available credit limit still remain the same, just wait for the statement to come and how they gonna transfer the FPP as well
*
My credit limit is up by the rewards figure. And as in my earlier post, the last payment is = the rewards figure

I got my latest statement today. There's still RM51.00 shown as September's real rewards but I can't redeem it. The annual reward amount has already been credited in the statement alright.
I guess this RM51.00 will be credited to next month's statement as I still have ongoing FPPs.

RM1800 auto credit to my Fortune card. Gave CS a call asked them to transfer RM1800 to my savings account. Bye bye Fortune card - used to be the best card around by far.

I have all in all used HLB Fortune for 3 years. Don't know how long this card has been around.
Great for us but not so great for the bank I suppose

Oh.. but I have all my Fortune cards information available on Connect as I have ongoing FPP transactions.
There's no transaction at all for my supp cards but the information are still being displayed.
