I started a new topic here cause Im anxious to share my experience with everyone..Haha.. =P
I thought of sharing whatever skincare and cosmetics that work wonders for me (I guess it wouldnt harm to add a few that doesnt suit my skin as well =P) so any of you girls when you want to try a new item from a new brand..Can read reviews from me as I love trying new skincare!! Cosmetic is soso but still I have a few good brands to recommend.. =D

First and foremost..My skin type is combination I guess..Not the common one where T-zone is oily whereas other places are dry..I was told many times by different SA that my inner part is oily and my outer part is dry..So practically I need very hydrating items to combat my dryness and also oil-absorbing ones to control my shine..

I have a long term war with shine..My face is just so oily and shiny after like 30 mins - 1 hour after makeup or bath.. =( I have tried different foundations..Different loose powders but none whatsoever that helped me keep my makeup in place and control the shine..Alas, after much search and disappointed trials..I finally came across this first item that Im so happy and thankful for..

Due to the reflective cover..I couldnt take a decent shot of my own case..I guess we have to make do with the picture I got online.. =P

You can get it at any SASA counters for RM58.00 if Im not mistaken.. =P Should be correct la..Hahahaha..Its really worth every penny if you have oily skin as your skin will appear less oily and at times not oily at all the whole day!! Serious!! I was never this happy!! For my ROM, my makeup stayed the whole day even with shooting outside..In the garden or at the railway station..The photos came out perfect..Non oily skin detected.. =D You dont need a lot..But if you have really oily skin..You can try adding extra puffs of it.. =D

Since I have fair skin..I use 02 Beige..They have 2 variants..01 Ivory is quite light too but mine is lighter so if you have fair skin..You can use the same as mine..If you have a darker skin tone..You can try 01 Ivory.. =D The powder is very light to the touch..Velvety smooth finish..At times when I dont feel like putting on foundation..I'd still puff my face with the loose powder after moisturiser and sunblock to control shine the whole day..You really have less oil by the end of the day eventhough it was a really sweaty day for you.. =D

But of course all these beauty products really need to suit your own skin for best results..I hope it will suit you as much as it suited me.. =D

It is also suitable for sensitive skin cause it is paraben and mineral oil free. It hydrates deep into the 5 layers of the skin and it gives you a fresh finish. hi dear,

i think i have same skin condition as urs....strong internal oil sebum but dry surface...n face shine shine whole day due to da dryness n internal oil...@@.....but da diff is mine is extremely sensitive skin....

may i noe for Biotherm AquaSource Deep Hydration Replenishing Gel, if use everyday n night....how long will it last???coz i realize gel moisturizer tends to finish it off faster thn da cream 1......my currently gel moisturizer finishes at ard 1 to 2 months only............now gonna finish soon d...thinking which brand to buy until i saw ur post...so jz drop by to ask...lol

izit suitable for extremely sensitive skin??how much is dis gel moisturizerr??

Erm..I use a very small dollop size of the moisturiser as too much can leave your face sticky and oily in the next 30 mins or so if you have oily skin..This was taught by a Clinique SA..She said a small size (around 5 cents) is enough for your whole face..You put that small dollop on your palm and you rub your palms together for awhile then apply the moisturiser on your face..Though very small amount..But you will feel that its actually enough for your whole face!! =D Apply with your palms so as not to waste your moisturiser..Kinda like washing your face..Hahaha..You can add or even cut down on the amount to suit your face..A little bit of every kind of moisturiser is enough as too much will lead to greasiness within the next 30 mins or so..With all that said..Mine can last me more than 6 months.. =D But sometimes depends on your face shape too..My friend is around 4-5 months with her bottle..

It is paraben free and mineral oil free so it is suitable for sensitive skin but as usual..Not every product that suits one person may suit you too..So its better for you to ask for a sample to try first and also seek advice from the Biotherm SA so as to get products that really suit your skin.. =D It is RM140 for 50ml..

Erm..the difference between both is the price (Biotherm AquaSource Skin Perfection 24h Moisturizer High Definition Perfecting Care is RM170 for 50ml if Im not mistaken), the ingredients (Biotherm AquaSource Skin Perfection 24h Moisturizer High Definition Perfecting Care has Aquakeep™ technology that when you spray water in the jar of gel..the water doesnt leak out of the gel..every drop of water is kept in the gel so moisture and all the wonderful ingredients are locked in your skin..I've seen it with my own eyes!! You can always ask the SA to show you.. =D) and also the texture (Biotherm AquaSource Skin Perfection 24h Moisturizer High Definition Perfecting Care has a velvety smooth texture on your skin..and it has a cooling effect too)..

If you ask which is better for hydration only, then I would recommend Biotherm AquaSource Deep Hydration Replenishing Gel because it is cheaper and serves its purpose of hydrating very well.. =D But if you're looking for more than just hydration..like radiant and better skin..Then Biotherm AquaSource Skin Perfection 24h Moisturizer High Definition Perfecting Care is definitely your choice for a more polished finish of your skin.. =D And it doesnt feel oily if you do not apply more than your skin can take in.. =D Both gels will make you feel fresh after application so dont worry.. =D

But like I said earlier..It is still better to ask for sample first as not everyone has the same level of acceptance and absorption of nutrients from moisturisers..It worked great for me but another friend of mine find Biotherm AquaSource Deep Hydration Replenishing Gel too oily after application..She has oily skin and she did not try the product as sample first so she had to give the bottle away to her sister..And its not cheap..Hahaha..

wowww.......gel moisturizer last 4 to 6 months is long enuf..........mine only lasted for 1 to 2 months only......@@.....i will try using ur way to apply moisturizer ^^.hope it wont finish off my moisturizer so fast...lol

okok..............i will try go to biotherm counter n ask for sample n so on....coz i have a frend using biotherm as well..n she says not bad...lolol...n now seeing ur post here...so mayb would try it out.since my mositurizer finishing soon again...haha.........

Hope everyone had a fantastic celebration!! I know I have!! =D Was busy with family gatherings and yumcha sessions that Im kinda late in posting another product review..Well here it is!! =D

The products that I'll be reviewing today are makeup base (or primer) and sunscreens that serve as makeup base as well..The products are as follow:

1) TheBodyShop Skin Primer Matte It (RM58.00)
2) SunPlay Powdery White SPF 47 (RM15 to 20+)
3) Biore UV Perfect Milk SPF 50+ PA+++ (RM20+)



Let’s start with TheBodyShop Skin Primer Matte It!! I love and hate products from TheBodyShop as they have good ones that are really good and bad ones that are totally unfit for me!! Luckily for me though, I managed to get my hands on this particular product and its really good!! =D Good as in it suits my weird skin type and manage to make my makeup stay on my face perfectly.. =D It is a clear gel that mattifies your face and covers up your pores making you look like you have a great complexion (when you don’t really have one like me.. =P) It makes your makeup glide on more smoothly and so much easier!! No scent whatsoever so it doesn’t bother me when I apply it on my face..It works well when you have pimples too cause it sets a barrier between your medicated cream and your makeup so you wont need to worry bout covering your pimple with foundation and concealor and worsen it.. =D Well..it works for me la..LOL..And another great thing bout this product is at times when Im too lazy to put moisturizer on before makeup, I just put this on and my face wont look dry or filled with fine lines.. =D Fantastic right?? But of course its best to always properly hydrate your skin before makeup.. =P This just serves as a great escape from your lazy bone days.. =P If you think its expensive, you can always wait for sales to get it as TheBodyShop has sales ever so often to empty your pockets..LOL!! XD Long term investment for combination to oily skin people..it just makes you look a lot better without the oil and shine..And it works great to ensure your makeup stays put and lasts longer.. =D

Let’s go to 2) and 3) now!! They are sunscreens that function as makeup bases too..I find both textures pretty good for combination to oily skin type as they are very watery and doesn’t feel greasy after application.. =D The liquid is white and their SPF are high too protecting your face from harmful UV rays that cause premature aging (dark spots, dehydration, lost of elasticity etc)..They can be used both on face and body so you kinda kill two birds with one stone.. =D No need to get 2 types of sunscreens just for a holiday at the beach.. =D Though they might not work as well as a real primer, they are ok in making your makeup glide smoothly on your face..It is ok for me when I have minimal makeup on as I don’t need to worry about my eyeliner smudging or my eyeshadow losing its color etc..But if you want to have full makeup on, its still best to get a skin primer or makeup base that serves its full purpose.. =D For SunPlay Powdery White SPF 47, as the name states, it whitens your skin after application..You do look extremely white if you are dark skinned cause it is pretty obvious..Hahaha..Seriously don’t try it cause my husband’s friend done it and he looks so funny!! LOL!! XD For Biore UV Perfect Milk SPF 50+ PA+++ on the other hand, it doesn’t leave any additional “color” on your skin so it is recommended for every colored skin.. =P I kinda forgot their prices but you can get them at any drugstores for a cheaper price during promotions.. =P I normally get mine when it’s a few ringgit cheaper.. =P And if youre lucky, you get free stuffs as well when you purchase like a SunPlay bag etc.. =P
