Is it legal to buy region restricted game using whatever method to bypass the geo-ip? For example Silent Hill etc. because that kinda defeat the purpose of region restricted / pricing.

The temptation to spend during sales is strong but for those of you who have bandwidth to spare (like if on unifi), than I suggest you guys download the demo first (if available) before buying. See if you actually like the game and would play it before whipping out the credit card.

I was tempted to get Atom Zombie Smasher myself because of all the good indie reviews plus the xmas achievement. Decided against it after playing the demo. Not that I didn't like it. It was not a bad game, but I can't quite imagine playing it over Shogun 2, Orcs Must Die, and a whole bunch of other games I already have. Buying a game just for the sake of the achievement seems rather pointless to me.

Won't deny I was sorely tempted though...I still might get it before the sale ends...must resist...

As someone who's just discovering digital downloads as a major source of cheap games, the most important thing is to understand that here is no urgency to buy anything. The download services are pretty good in creating a sense of urgency by offering great discounts for very short times, but - contrary to games that are physically sold - the merchandise will never sell out. This means that every game that's on sale right now will be on sale again at some point in the future, possibly for a better price because it's then older. So the real question you want to ask yourself is: Do I want to actually play this game until it goes on sale again? If the answer is yes, buy it. If the answer is no, wait for the next sa

Insecticide for $0.19 at GamersGate? Is this true or pricing error?

QUOTE
The game was the brainchild of Mike Levine and Larry Ahern, two former and longtime employees of LucasArts best known for their contributions to that company's library of classic graphic adventure titles. They are among many LucasArts adventure alumni, including artists, designers, sound engineers and composers, that comprise the game's team. The LucasArts legacy is clearly evident in Insecticide's detective missions, which are designed as miniature graphic adventures complete with inventory puzzles and dialog trees. Much of the writing and design for these segments of the game are credited to Josh Mandel, veteran of Sierra Entertainment who worked on the King's Quest, Police Quest, and Leisure Suit Larry series among others.

Yes, it is listed at $4.99 on Steam. I don't know if this some sort of error or not.

Insecticide is available for only $0.19 at GamersGate
http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-INSECT/insecticide

But if you are stingy you could still get it without paying anything, just use 190 blue coins which you can get easily by rate any of the games or make review of your games.

was looking to buy that earlier but then saw the review quite bad.

Don't put too much faith on reviews, the discounted price itself worth the gamble. Look a couple of footage on Youtube and see whether you like it or not.

Yeah. But this is new and rather unheard so kinda skeptical just give out CC info.

I read somewhere they were responsible for spamming FB users and encourage their user to post referral link (kinda like MLM) with promise of free games. But some time later they change the rule for first 100 users, kinda unethical. Or i'm just misheard things.

wanna continue after xmas sales. brows.gif

Oh that acrobat, you're not facing the final boss yet. That's "Meat Circus" right? The most infamous level in that game because it was damn hard and lack sense of direction, but was nerfed after the latest patch.

Psychonauts is the best game that i played in 2011. Although the game dated back in 2005 - 2006; storyline, gameplay, concept and settings are the one of the most original in video game history. Tons of collection and replayability. One of the best in 3D puzzle-platforming action genre. This game should have a sequel, developed by the same developer. So don't give up. Maybe a couple of footage on Youtube can help you.
