QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Apr 7 2012, 07:27 PM) If Malaysian model for DV6-7XXX come with 1080P display, GT650M, Backlit keyboard, IvyBridge i7, BeatsAudio with built-in Subwoofer and price between RM4k-4.5k... that is a bargain. Hell, you priced it a 5k, I'll buy still GT630M@RM4k totally not worth it and i doubt HP gonna price it around that. 1080p, backlit kb and Gt650m + Ivy Bridge. That sealed the deal for me straight. Next thing closest to this monster is Sager / AW which will be quite overpriced. Honestly, I'm going to say this once again You can play the waiting game no matter who you are, but if you were to keep waiting, there would be more than Ivy and Kepler.. Soon, Dv6-7xxx will come, and this is be more to get. If you want a laptop now, Dv6 is the best within the range of 3k, oh wait, Acer M3 would outperform it but its not here yet so.... |

If it drops also, does it really matter? Buying laptops/etc = Depreciation. Sb laptop end of life so early? I doubt it. If you really that fickle minded, then don't buy and wait till end 2012 t observe lo |

SSD now thinking whether want to salvage parts from my rig and put it into the laptop or not.... Though if I add a SSD, i will lose mostly my storage |

Maybe just get a 64gb SSD and install windows inside, then use the existing 750gb as 2nd HDD.
Need to check it out tomorrow |

QUOTE(Netto Hikari @ Apr 9 2012, 02:18 AM) u mean just setting to power saver mode? coz so far, when in power saver mode, it can last around 5 hours on normal word usage and code compilation. Yeap.Coz when I am out, its either finishing an assignment or mild surfing. Put to power save enough already to keep the laptop powered smoothly. Added on April 9, 2012, 7:09 pmAnyways, just a quick question.. My WiFi connection with this Dv6 keep flux while my connection to the same modem using my tablet and phone has no such issues. Should I be worried or is there any drivers to update for higher efficiency? Apparently, a laptop without WiFi is chaos =,= This post has been edited by chiahau: Apr 9 2012, 07:09 PM |

It's probably nothing but when i use Device Manager to detect my hardware just for the sake of fun,
AMD Radeon HD 6700M came out instead of the 7690XT. Either I am blur as I am today or.. |

I am annoyed.
When I am on batteries, my wifi is not as stable as it is when it's on power supply. After so long, does that means this Laptop has problem? I just have the time to test it intensively today. On Dv6-6C19TX btw. |

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Apr 17 2012, 06:20 PM) Soft raid? Hard raid? Windows? Linux? 5 bars right beside the modem also can disconnect while my Tablet beside has no problem at all =.=So far i've only read about soft raid on windows. =| 1. Backup most important files you can and tell them not to reformat because there is database/important file for business. 2. Maybe just create another admin account for them? You can simply delete it after that. Not possible because without Intel HD driver you can't use AMD GPU. Install this Leshcat 12.2 UP5, i found it the best driver so far for Catalyst 12. Maybe the power saving feature reduce it? How many bars u getting? Windows wifi connection bar is always overrated. Abit disappointed since I travelled all around today and getting my wifi disconnected while answering chats are seriously annoying |
