What is this pink spot people complaining about?? Where??

Question 1:
I have a question...in my apps screen (not the homescreens), i have a few empty spaces in the screen, but new apps install will go to another screen instead of filling it up....why ar? And there seems to be no way to move the app from one screen to another (not the homescreens, the homescreen can add shortcut to the apps/widgets etc).??

Question 2:
Does the SGS2 have autofocus in video mode? I noticed sometimes the images will blur and then sharp again...very annoying...anyway to change it to fixed focus?
