what do you call this kinda hairstyle, cut straight layers like "ladder" going down "step by step"

normally see these in ninja movies, where the japanese girls wearing traditional kimono with these hair?

my inside code with my sis is Sassoon haircut tongue.gif but I don't know what's the term for it. If u wanna cut this kind of haircut just copy the pic into your hp and give the hairstylist see la. Or u can say layered haircut? but that can mean layering your hair...

From what I have read(somewhere), it seems that this is called hime-cut or 'princess-cut' if you would like to call (without the dye, of course)

However, it seems that the hair needs high-maintenance for those without natural straight hair (If you have a natural straight hair, i guess it is ok..)

I love this haircut style too. This haircut, in Japan is usually associated with Yamato Nadeshiko and i find them very captivating..
