i noticed that my Note was quite underutilized. i use my iPod more. shocking.gif

trying to figure out why have i bought this RM2k++ gadget for just a normal telephony usage.. such a waste..

or is it due to the holiday season... or iPOd is more portable (or more adorable) that i used it more? tongue.gif i even use my ipod to browse net more than this Note, in spite of the large screen of the Note. somehow i just feel ipod is easier to use.

why did i bought Note at the first place?
1. internet browsing on the large screen
2. The S-Pen
3. I presume the Note is more professional/business oriented device, so i tot it would be beneficial as my organizer
4. attracted by the raw power that Note offers
5. promise of early ICS update than other sammy device

but eventually,
1. the screen is not large enough to accommodate feasible internet browsing experience, still prefer using PC for "serious" internet browsing
2. i can't remember if i had used the S-pen for good since i bought it
3. still underutilized, still prefer using normal diary for work
4. personally, i think Note performance is not better than S2.
5. this is what left for me to hold on the Note, to experience ICS on it.

..............

HAPPY coming NEW YEAR fellow LYN member.

First thing a lot of people should understand

Gorilla glass is NOT UNBREAKABLE, NOT SCRATCHPROOF, and definitely NOT SHATTER PROOF

Gorilla glass claims to be scratch resistant. If the glass is constantly tortured, there's always risk of having scratches on the screen. Most of them claimed that SGS and SGS2 (which had gorilla glass) screen had minor hairline scratches even though they are gorilla.

About our note having gorilla glass or not, many claims that Note is using gorilla glass but some think so, I'm not very sure about those claims, but for me, i dont think it makes a difference....

just my opinion

Agreed.. Saw a htc incredible s badly scratched on screen coz the owner did not put sp

yeah ! white is always look big and nice..
my ipad is on White too !
getting a Red Metal bumper for my galaxy note !

i really want to change to white too.. but it gives me headache if it will be worth it.. bought the black one at special discounted price on launch day. now am i gonna get another note at expensive price and resell my current at cheaper price? might lose 200-300 in the process.. cry.gif cry.gif i wish i can secure my anxiety before. but waiting is killing. bla..bla..bla..bla...

anyway, i can see Note's after-market back cover selling somewhere. means we can keep our ori back cover and use the aftermarket one. got bumper selling somewhere?? i mean the side bumper only, like the iphone 4 one.

[after-market back cover] + [side bumper] + [high quality SP] = sexy Note. hate bulky casings

Do u plan to root ur phone after updating to 2.3.6? if yes, then just use 2.3.6 customs rom to avoid any problem later.

no i'm keeping myself from doing any modding to my Note until we get ICS. but if ICS is satisfying enough, i will not do anything to the original firmware. i'm concern about possible threat of malware, backdoor, malicious scripts etc.

guys.. need advice here..

i want to backup things from my Note, especially the apps.. i wanna use titanium backup.. my Note is still using stock ROM, un-rooted. is it possible to backup apps from un-rooted device? i mean, backup the whole apps, so that i can restore back into another device without having to redownload from Market. does it need root access to perform this?.. and, can i use titanium backup (free version) to perform the backup, or do i need to buy the pro version?

Pro version for sure is better than free...Pro can restore ur apps at one time only...but Free only can restore apps one by one...say u got 100 apps to restore...just wonder how u gonna do it...for sure will take long time...

Thanks for advice.
But can I do full backup of the apps without root access?
