QUOTE(Baronic @ Dec 22 2011, 02:19 PM) on the post someone mentioned Galaxy Note being the talk of the town, lol that happened like a month ago when i became famous in the office right after a colleague saw i bought the Galaxy Note. When i walk up (my office is at another floor) to the pantry, some colleague whispered, signalling me to go to them only to find out that they want to play with my phoneim at my client's now and my client's IT department is crowded around me each wanna try my Note put in all their pockets and explore and all announcing its gonna be their christmas present. In comparison the iphone 4s launch in malaysia seems quiet like a graveyard...so far my colleagues who bought iphone 4s all said regret. Oh and during a recent gathering, we tried to take a group picture. u know, the restaurant yellow light ambience. Iphone 4s couldnt take the picture too dark to see anything. The Galaxy Note took the picture perfectly bright tho minor noise. but definitely superior than the iphone 4s which surprised me as the iphone 4 beat my S2 in the dark, and i presumed that the Note and S2 had the same cam hardware/software |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Dec 28 2011, 04:23 PM) Use mobile odin easier. you will still have rootcum cwm uncle benny... i'd like to clear some doubts if u dont mind. (hands itchy to the max, need to flash XD)Select rom zip in tar format Unzip chainfire kl7 to tar format Replace kernel with chainfire kl7 Select flash file I did it this way with cwm installed If you tried to flash cwm as per chainfire procedure it will not work 1. for now, if we flash using Odin, the binary counter will increase and the yellow triangle will appear? 2. After root, we can use mobile Odin to flash instead to avoid having the yellow triangle and increased binary counter? 3. With root + cwm, we can use mobile odin or CWM to flash custom roms? 3. Wat are the steps to remove root + cwm? If using odin will increase the counter, how can we flash to stock to remove root + cwm and reset the binary counter and remove the yellow triangle? |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Dec 28 2011, 05:19 PM) 1. Using Odin on PC to flash official stock roms will not increase counter. If the rom comes with a changed insecure kernel, the counter will increase yea i'm worried bout warranty claims, but i'm just not clear about the process for Note and SGS2Using Mobile Odin will not increased any counter The newer roms and kernel will not create any more yellow triangle unlike the very early release of kernel 2. Yes with root and cwm, you can easily use mobile odin to flash full rom or kernel or modem 3. Flashing back a stock official rom will remove root n cwm : use odin on PC If you worry about warranty claims, do not root and flash Anyway based on my personal experience sending in units to claim ( including helping my frioends 3 times ) - phones obviously rooted and with cook roms, service center never bother and stll process FOC. If you refer to SGS II and Galaxy tab threads many users has sucessfully claim warranty and even replacem, ent new units with rooted phones Actually I'd say all these stunts to hide your rooting and flashing is unnecessary as the service technician will know you have rooted by tracing the hidden files which we cannot see. Hiding these stuffs only make a user happy thinking he can cheat the technician - you might be able to cheat the staff taking in your phone but not the technician And I even successfully claim warranty services FOC at Spore Plaza Singapura center for my ex SGS which was bricked due to unsuccessful flash,. The phone was an AP set which I bought at LowYat shop used to flash my SGS like crazy last time since there's no such thing like counters or yellow triangles bla bla bla... As long as i can revert the whole thing then i'm good to go... things about soft brick, flashing and so, can learn on the go XD thanks uncle benny ^^ |

First thing a lot of people should understand
Gorilla glass is NOT UNBREAKABLE, NOT SCRATCHPROOF, and definitely NOT SHATTER PROOF Gorilla glass claims to be scratch resistant. If the glass is constantly tortured, there's always risk of having scratches on the screen. Most of them claimed that SGS and SGS2 (which had gorilla glass) screen had minor hairline scratches even though they are gorilla. About our note having gorilla glass or not, many claims that Note is using gorilla glass but some think so, I'm not very sure about those claims, but for me, i dont think it makes a difference.... just my opinion |

anybody on CheckROM experiencing touch screen problems?
I flashed CheckROM yesterday morning. Since yesterday evening, I've been experiencing random problems with my touch screen, the responsiveness of the touch screen had reduced significantly and sometimes there's part of the screen that doesnt respond. For example, when i'm trying on the on screen keyboard, sometimes the letter 'N' cant be pressed, then when i lock and unlock the screen it becomes usable again. Just moments ago, the letter 'E' doesnt respond. |
