use rom manager n flash recovery. it is limited in function but can be used to flash kernel only with cwm app
select sgs2 as phone
delete the app n clear its data after you have instll back cwm recovery

successfully revert back to 2.3.5...now downloading 2.3.6 from sammobile.com...don wanna use KIES anymore...

any improvement on battery life after upgrading to 2.3.6 anyone feedback ?

Can you confirm if CWM and Root still work using this method? I recall reading a user comment that the icons might still be intact but root did not work.

I bought an original Samsung Galaxy Note...

I had bought this phone as at first I thought the 1.4Ghz processor would be much more superior to the Samsung Galaxy S2 19100 model..

Indeed, not much difference..

My question is that when I immediately bought the Note, I put in a 4.2 Gb 720p AC3 mkv blue ray video...
No doubt that the playback is wonderful..
But then when you try to fastforward, the Note just crash..
It hangs and then I have to press the home button..
I was not satisfied and I keep on trying and trying for 6 more times..
In all times it still crashes the stock video player...

Does anybody else face this problem?

Will be less tinkering on the Note. Just got mysrlf the galaxy nexus , like chinese saying new toilet will spend more time on it exploring ics, root n flashhing roms

how if compare to s2? is it smoother and slicker?
how abt the screen compare with note's Super amoled HD and S2's?
one of my fren also got the ipad2 after considering btw android and ios for sometime.. but he has yet to taste the android.. only by reading and influence of ppl around him..

D seven is quite good..comparable with mugen.. on par with ori if not better.. but D seven if u run many app like surfing, play game etc, i notice it will dry faster a bit than original..if put on standby or check mail etc, its fine.. but i only buy it for less than rm60, can get such result i am actually quite happy..mugen's battery is so much expensive normally.. and i don really found it very much better than ori even it got bigger mAh.. i am using mugen for my dell..
i have yet to test the momax.. but with lower mAh.. i think wont last that long.. i will charge it and test it later ..

i bought from above..i din try the OEM battery this time.. but i did try on my older phone before..compare to its price, is worth i can say....it can be used but not so lasting..that time i got a few OEM battery to change, so i dun really care.. and still can last like morning to afternoon.... but problem is i duno how safe it can be and how long it can last.. dun wan risk my note this time.. and last time when i ordered 3 pcs of OEM battery, 1 of them was dead when arrive.. cannot charge cannot on..  but since it not expensive, just have to throw away ..

and i just ordered two unit of original battery charger for rm40 and rm43 each last 2 days

i only know it got very good feedback after i order.. lol...that time i bought cos it got nice packaging and the description in the post is they are the 3 top brand in china lol..just try my luck..

that is usb otg..which u can use to connect pen drive, mouse to ur note.. i ordered the one with cable type for rm6 from ebay also..

I downloaded rocket rom and flash with cwm after wipe cache and dalvik cache but I'm stuck at the rocket boot screen for 20 minutes. reboot or take out battery same.. What could possibly gone wrong?

should be ok, i read a few here bought from that web before..but that charger is the type adjust the connection leg to suit the battery right? not like what ebay sell which specify only for note's battery..and from the photos, looks like is the 3rd party battery charger only not from d seven also..

there price still fix ?
