I think it doesn't compatible with some router i guess.

Cause my house got 2 router. The main (1st) one always get disconnect and connected within some period and the secondary (2nd) one connected with no problem at all.

"around the corner" may take another month or two.  use benny's method can upgrade to 2.3.6 without breaking root.  Just upgraded mine - my Note feel so much smoother/faster now. 
heard others at XDA say yes but i dun have one to try.

Upgrading Msian firmware to 2.3.6 with root and CWM installed :

If your phone is not rooted, you have to use ODIN on PC to flash the phone. In odin, just select the tar file as PDA - leave the rest as default. And don't worry, flashing an official stock rom will not increase the flash counter

Download the rom file from either sammobile.com or from XDA ( it is the second last item on the list )

Once you have flash the phone successfully , use the methods as outline here to root and have CWM installed: Make sure you download the right Chainfire file matching to your phone kernel

Once your phone is rooted and withnCWM installed , you can now proceed to use Mobile odin to flash the 2.3.6 Msian firmware :
Launch mobile odin
Select OPEN FILE - and browse and choose the stock 2.3.6 firmware tar file
You will see a listing of all the files selected : kernel, system, data, modem etc etc
Replace the kernel file with the CWM extracted tar file ( MUST be in tar format ). DO NOT overextract the file to become zimage. The file extracted one level down should read something like this : example  CF-Root-SGN_ZS_MUL_KK1-v5.0-CWM5.tar - note the file extension is tar
Select flash firmware

i just tried to check the custom binary counter using vol down+home+power then volume up. it shows no. the saw the android logo in the middle with Downloading. Do not turn off target!!.. how do i on the phone again?

(never root any of my hp b4- just gatal to check)...

The best part is the battery life which can last more than 2 days with heavy usage

If it takes more than 15 minutes, try to take out the battery and turn on again. See how it goes.

Press and hold volume up, centre button, and on off button and hold. It will.go to recivery. Flash a rom preferably a diff one

why don u recover back to 2.3.5? then root it, then redo the Benny's method?
did yo u restart ur note when it stuck and the welcome screen just now?? mine, after restart then straight go into the front page..

If you have upgraded to latest KL3 - than the above 2 will not work. You need to downgrade to 2.3.5 , say KK1 and use above steps to root. If you want the latest KL3 on your phone, than just follow my method which I have listed in post# 2663

worth it or not, u have to try it yourself. custom rom, there's some advantages like theming, performance tweak etc. plus, if u flash custom rom directly, mostly u have u dont have to worry about root because most of them already rooted. =)
CWM is come in handy when u want to backup your whole phone.
