Hello good people of LYforum, thinking of buying BF3 because I'm very into multiplayer but I have one major question before I do.

First of all can my pc not only actually play it but the graphical lag won't give me a headache after 10mins.
-PC runs on 32bit winXP, old dualcore E5700, 9600 graphics card and 8gb of DDR3 (yeah I know...) Can't remember my mobo because I'm in my hometown at the moment and I have more than enough HDD space.
-also, if I could run it would the reduced draw distance that I will have to play it on would make me as nearsighted as a blind mole rat.
-using standard streamyx 1mb that gets me steady 80-90ping in cod4mw2 SEA region, Taiwan and Hong Kong games.

Will need at least 3 months for my paycheck to cover a new gaming rig (rent, bills blah blah) but I really can't wait if I can play it first.

Btw, I used this PC to play a lot of TF2 when I was in the UK 4 months ago (installed Steam and TF2 there) but now Steam can't even start up, keeps giving me some error, is it region locked?

Thanks man, you've given me some hope... and an idea - might as well get win7 and bf3 since I need them anyway and 1) *idiot way* install them on one of my HDDs so I only need to restart pc whenever I want to play bf3 (I'm very lazy to relearn win7 and redo my system =D) or 2) dual booting XP and 7.
