Im using nexus beam with glados 2.5. The battery can withstand more than 14hrs with 3g turn off, wifi off and no gaming. But with 3g and wifi turn on and heavy usage,....can say less than 8hrs.stock clock.deep idle on.governor ondemand. However the glados is more stable and fast compared to matrix. (All stock setting)

i abuse my NS today. running fb.whatsapp.dolphin.stock browser.ym.non stop from morning till now.using wifi.non stop. 1% battery left after 6.5hrs.
glados 2.5. nexus beam. stock oc. deep idle on.stock voltages. any method/setting/apps to make my battery last longer? perhaps for 8hrs. previously use matrix.a bit lag.low quadrant score.random reboot.then switched to glados 2.4....also experience random reboot. |

QUOTE(Bugeca @ Jan 4 2012, 08:14 PM) Yes, confirmed it works on stock ROM and Kernel. I just flashed back to it. shud put this on 1st page. flashing this and that is fun but have to bear the risk.Actually, the quest for me to rectify the issue led me to brick my own Nexus. Blank screen, no vibration and nothing when powered up. It happened after I flashed back to stock ICS (the complete package zip file). Damn! my bootloader f@#ked up. Dunno what caused it, maybe the Teamwin recovery but I did remember seeing some error like "E:error on Misc, not enough space" or something before booting. The recovery only took less than 10 minutes but to setup the environment took almost 4 hours. Here is the steps I took to recover it. 1. Using my office notebook because its dual boot (my Android modding notebook is picky on Linux and Virtual). 2. Install Ubuntu since my journey using Debian is not that far... 3. Download "Team Hummingmod's UnBrickable Resurrector" from here and make it executable. 4. Install OpenJDK 7 (Java alternatif). 5. Run "Team Hummingmod's UnBrickable Resurrector", follow the instructions to make the phone into Fastboot mode. More info here. 6. Download "NexusSRootICS.zip" package from here. It has fastboot command for linux so no need to go back to windows. 7. From this link, download the 2.3.6 ROM and extract only boot.img and bootloader.img 8. From this link download 5023-cyan.img as the recovery image. 8. Extract the package from no. 6 and open terminal inside this folder, make sure all the files from no. 7 & 8 are save inside this folder. 9. The steps... (without the quotes and order is important) a. "sudo ./fastboot-linux devices" - make sure your device is detected. It shows some numbers with fastboot word at the end. b. "sudo ./fastboot-linux flash bootloader bootloader.img" c. "sudo ./fastboot-linux flash boot boot.img" d. "sudo ./fastboot-linux flash recovery 5023-cyan.img" 10. Disconnect cable to power off the phone and boot to recovery as usual. 11. Viola! Its alive! continue to flash the ROM as usual. So this is my own experience with crippled bootloader. This post has been edited by VWXYZ: Jan 4 2012, 10:48 PM |

QUOTE(kiwlm @ Sep 26 2012, 10:32 AM) What is your problem? I have wipe everything on my phone.Added on September 26, 2012, 10:33 am How do you "hard reset from fast boot menu"? I know that when I run the flash-all.sh script from https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images It DOESN"T wipe out the sdcard data. Then i try to mount usb storage in order to transfer new rom to the phone. Unfortunately the pc unable to detect the phone. Reinstall the usb driver. Use other usb cable. Change pc. All the same. The pc still still unable to detect my phone. It only shows "unknown devices" The weird this is the phone will continue show charging status eventhough i turn off the power source. Really have no idea what is happening on. Hardware issue perhaps? Any shop good in troubleshooting android based phone? |
