Hi folks! New to Android OS. Was wondering if any of you kind souls here could point me in the right direction.
I'm looking for an app that is a phone call blocker but it allows you to populate a list of phone numbers that you want to receive phone calls from and then when you activate it, only receive phone calls from the people in that list and will automatically reject phone calls from numbers not in that list. For those of you who have been pampered by Sony Ericsson's standard OS will know what I mean.
Understand that most phone call blocking apps only block some numbers and allow you to receive phone calls from other numbers. What I desire is something of the opposite, populate a small list of phone numbers that you're willing to receive calls from and then reject the rest of incoming calls from numbers not in that list.

QUOTE(xzilem @ Dec 18 2011, 08:38 AM) You already try Call Blocker from Netqin Mobile? And i think Mr Number.. can block all call except your contact. These work on the basis of creating blacklists. I am looking for apps that allow you to create whitelists so that when I kickstart this app, only numbers on my whitelist are accepted and all other numbers not on it are rejected.

QUOTE(xzilem @ Dec 18 2011, 09:08 AM) From Mr Number description » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « FREE: Block Unwanted Calls and Texts Block all calls and texts from a person, a business, a prefix, or the world. Block calls and texts from any phone number, any area code or prefix, all private and restricted calls, or block everyone except your contacts. NEW: Pick up and hang up on some callers and send others to voicemail - you decide. Also NEW: option to automatically delete the content of blocked texts. I think the whitelist you means is the contact? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pst: You guys already enable hardware acceleration in Setting>Developer Option>Force GPU Rendering? My Nexus S is so fast and very smooth now. Whitelist = list containing numbers that you allow to contact/reach you. A whitelist is a subset of your contacts.

QUOTE(xzilem @ Dec 18 2011, 03:38 PM) Haven't received the OTA update yet. Hope to receive it soon. Added on December 18, 2011, 4:11 pmQUOTE(wwl86 @ Dec 18 2011, 03:43 PM) Is the maxis promo on Google nexus s still available? Which maxis centre has stock for tis? Maxis Centres don't publish their numbers, so it's difficult to say. The only sure way of finding out is visiting the store yourself. This post has been edited by SkyCaptain: Dec 18 2011, 04:11 PM

QUOTE(kiwlm @ Dec 24 2011, 10:10 AM) You are right, there's no smart dialing ( I think that's what this feature is called ) in the standard ROM, you can try to find in the market for some dialer apps. But I am used to pressing the search button and using the keyboard instead to look for friends. I use Gesture Search to circumvent this.
