Dont be so bothered by the fan. Every car is the same, Proton or not. U only need to worry if it is not spinning at all.

bro, its normal, even mini cooper s, fan still spinning for 1minute after a long drive

erm, not saying the louder sound is good, but maybe they can do a little better engine bay sound insulation. Just something to ponder, have u ever drive pug 308 vti,pug 308thp or 407? When u r inside the car,it is really serene, quiet n comfortable, but when u open the door, go to the front, the sound coming from under the hood become an attraction,but never mind coz its pug with psa bmw prince engine. People around u also dont bother coz its pug by the way. But if in prtn car, sometimes we scared that people around will say, itulah kete prtn, bunyi cam kapal g ke laut,bunyi cam lori kind of a word.

For me,its ok coz hear many contis having loud engine sound, as long as inside is not loud, but still insist they make it quietier.

i walked beside an exora bold, the owner didnt turn off the engine while parking, and the engine is indeed rough and loud for an engine in idle..dunno whether it is designed to be like that or not..

My waja cps sometimes the fan still running after the engine is off. Once, my client happen to hear the fan sound and asked me why is that? I told him most Proton is like that to cool off the engine. And he just wow.. hahaha..

I have the same sound from the front. I think near the certre of the dashboard if I go through a pothole or something hard and fast.

Total heard it 3 times since I got my car 6 weeks ago.

so....what is dat really THE SOUND?.....how to describe to sc during next services......i heard also...langgar lubang sikit, sound like buzzz dunno how to describe....it's just like toshiba protege....harddisk protection if happen to shake.......orady 2000 km....emmm 2 3 times heard it....
but so far....it's ok, with different terrain i drove...

what sound do you all mention about....? Yesterday my car suddenly engine stop when idle. do you guys got such issue?

is check engine light is on? Then can troubleshoot using padt.
Check battery connector too.

my saga also have same issue...the SA didn't tighten the connector which result in stall on the middle of the road
but mine is lucky cuz have sign, its like die but came back a few times thn total die
alarm also won't work
when towed to SC, fix is so simple yet most mechanic there dn't know how to fix...need manager

yup, it can stall coz current car using ecu n cfe also using dbw. It needs some power to get it run. U can disconnect,but temporarily only. Same case happened to my friend 1.8 wish, the culprit is the loose connector. But the real culprit is the sa which selling u the car coz he@she shud make sure it is connected properly before hand in the car, coz earlier unplug it in the stockyard.

Added on March 7, 2012, 1:53 pmthe original padt only available at prtn branch sc. The authorised dealer sometimes used the immitation one coz cheaper, n even some mentioned can change the cam n ingnition timing :-). But actually cannot coz password protected. It is due to reliability concern.

They only show u the fake one, n charge u for it. But still can use piggyback to bypass or by reflashing it. But increase performance through padt, cannot, only for checking n clearing trouble codes n minor2 adjustment such rpm timing n etc.

hmmm.... the issue is like this... I left last bar of petrol ( not sure if it is relevant) when I stop at shell station, there is a sound "tak" like a switch sound when the aircond need to get power from the engine... then out of sudden, my car like want to die off..... then the engine stop. then I try to start back is ok but while pumping the petrol it stop again. then after finish filling up the petrol it's ok.

The second incident I have is gear slipperage. this happen 2 times but according to my wife she kena few times also especially when she is reducing the speed to near 0.

Other than that I am very happy with the performance.... fan noise is manageable for me. Best part was some myvi want to cucuk me but failed.

RPM 3k on final gear is on 140kmh. Quite saving for highway drive.

i sudah kene saman.. speeding on highway north-south...
