this is quite confusing huh
its suppose to be every 5k
especially when they're using semi syn oil...the longest u can last is 7k KM
but certain said every 10k...but they're still using semi syn oil

my sc told me 10k as well, but using fully synth oil.. told me to go back for 5k just to change oil because they used semi for 1st service..

in fact, 5k or 10k does not rely much on the type of lubricant. it should be the design of the engine to tell.

Proton has stated that in the service manual. Under normal condition, the car should be serviced every 10k, but 5k under extreme conditions. The extreme conditions are also well defined in the service booklet.

i have done my 1k service last week. i asked the sc, and he said for the first 10k, try to service at 1k, 5k and 10k since the engine still new. After that, we can choose to service every 10k.

if they're using fully syn oil..thats better BUT be reminded, because of malaysian hot weather...your car will start to feel sluggish and higher FC after maybe 7k KM because the oil started to deteriorate already
it really depends though...best is still every 5k using semi syn....every 10k is fine as well but not recommended

will go for 5k this weekend then 10k am going to put in fully synth...

and also im jotting down every fill-up right now, i'll report back in 12k if fc is worst than before huhu.. hope it is not..

just service every 5k and your car will last fr more that 10 years..if only the engine oil is original.. most of the oil at the spare part shop are FAKE..and we are not aware about it.. the oil filter is olso fake.. summore they got original sticker.. haiya..penin.. thats why i fedup and only go service at proton edar SC.. not WAKIL Servis.. as they will use replacement parts, not genuine parts..

just asking you since you are in penang (island or mainland?), which Proton Service Center u sent your EB CFE? Does that SC good service and not simply give "biasala, tak apala" reasoning...?

Island, PESC, Sg Pinang. For all my complaints, they really drive out and check...they din use that statement at all on all my complaints. Service Agent (SA) is polite and good service, but the mechanics, skilful or not, is another story.

Anyhow, that was only my 1st service.

My EB some time "jerk" during idle or driving. Do you have such problem? Is this normal?

Have you guys test the DVD player?
I test yesterday, and found out it flicker so badly when car is shaking like drive on rough road or bump.
It flickr like tv when cannot get signal

Wiring problem, DVD player lemon or normal like that?

its wiring problem but not lemon...its probably something not attached properly...abit loose
take back to SC ask them check and attach it properly

Things I noticed with EBP
I feel the slight rocking of the driver seat when you brake.
The engine RPM stays at 1 even when you stop at traffic lights.
The horn sounds like a ship
Remote control lock and unlock sounds are very soft. Sometimes you are not sure if you have locked the car or not.
High engine sound outside was expected. But it gets more louder when you switch your aircon on.
Anything I mention to my inexperienced SA . He says " the car comes like that "

I like
The space inside the car
Pick up in the low gears.
Sound system ( Good for the car price )
Stability of the car. Handling and braking has been good
Air con is good and i like the flow outlets for the 2 back row seats

I have not checked on DVD player. No complaint from my kids.

So far I am satisfied with the buy. What happens in next few months and how the SC service my car?..Wait and see.

RPM stays at 1k...is there anything wrong with that?..its suppose to be like that..if u switch to "N"..it will drop abit

1. At what gear it stay at 1000rpm? D or N? Mine if I put at N it stay at 900rpm if D it stay at 1000rpm

2. I believe you never own a campro engine before yeap, it always loud and worse when aircon is on but its normal campro behavior, dont worry
