i have to use a hilly road every time i go home, to bypass the traffics...that might be the reason of the high FC. At the same time, feel the turboboost is another siok and addicting feeling.... smile.gif

1) feel awkward because suddenly drive low-height car
2) the Preve NVH is so awesome! Can compare with my cousin 5 series
3) the handling is superb! (compare to waja) EB sure loss
4) brake, Preve better but EB also not bad
5) interior wise, i personally feels that EB better
6) engine respone...both same

The driver 'cockpit' feel is lain. Nvh improved. Engine response x test, played with the pedals though...wish we had those in ebcfe.

Am interested in Exora Prime. However, when I go to Proton - Edar website, there is very little information. Would like to know if the head rest has LCD screen and the 2nd row is captain seat. Anyone has actual photo?

Built in GPS at the HU and reverse camera display at the HU LCD instead of at rear view mirror
Got written Prime on the front seat and coil mat

engine bay...soundproof it
both the engine hood there and the firewall
firewall more effective but very hard to do...not sure abt EB though but it is hard to do

was told Campro engine cannot tahan high temp. If i soundproof the hood, it might increase the heat trapped inside. do you think so?

as long as u move...i dn't think its an issue
not sure EB's engine hood got soundproof or not but preve surely got
many car also got....no issue one
but effect is not much..the one that matters is the firewall

ya...i guess so, but the most effective firewall insulation is by takingoff the dashboard. i a m a bit worry on that. if not put back properly, it might create more noise inside from the dashboard.

for that price tag, i am very happy for now. Nobody knows the reliability and durability of this new car engine. you just have to balance out what you get and what you have paid. The next nearest competitor is Innova which has 30k extra to pay. Innova is obviously better NVH than EB in terms of NV. Handling part, i would say both are equal.

Space?..Innova slightly better, when needed, u can fit in extra person legally.

Power? you can get it from the spec. From the test drive, pickup from EB turbo is addicting. We dun have lots of long stretches of highway on Penang island, so i can't comment in details. For short range pickups, i would say it is better than Innova.

For me, i am trying to handle the NV parts. Noise part i am trying to do soundproofing, which might spend RM2-3k. Vibration part, maybe a basic chassis foam ranging from 500-1k. If i add up all these, it is still <5k. if i choose to go premium solution, that might shoot up to 10k (or more?). So, it is still a sub 90k monster. tongue.gif

you guys are lucky 'cos KL has a lot of good soundproofing solution providers. We hard to get here. less providers, means less price competitiveness. sad.gif

pgkia,
don't you feel a bit of sluggish at the initial stage (when u start kick the pedal for accelaration)? Is it because of the turbo engine will start to pump when it hits 2K rpm?

press a little bit more...you will have totally different feeling. i was like that when i first pickup my car and for the subsequent 1k of run-in period. After that i tried press hard a bit, the car reacts rapidly. Of course dun compare Alza 1.1T vs this 1.5T monster. The weight will affect the pickup during the initial 1second or so. it is not far from 1k rpm (idle) to 2k rpm. after that, it sprints.... smile.gif
