Hi Cheelam,

my car is 2004 kelisa second generation, never serviced the years i owned it (6 years seldom use a/c too). i only had problem that once i was in a hot afternoon during idle, my car was very warm, but it is still blowing cold air out from the vent.

went to have my aircon checked near my place, and after the gauge checking, (it was 30PSI/150PSI when the car first started, ac turned on with compressor clutch kick in.) he claim it seems a little bit of low on refrigerant. and also high pressure on the low side. the mechanic suggest to refill the refrigerant, and also add compressor oil to see if the low pressure side would drop.

after he pump up the refrigerant (Fresco R134A) and aircon oil compressor/conditioner(Nasaken no 131).. the reading was 53PSI/220PSI the ambient weather was a very hot afternoon around 30c.

He said that the aircon system is too high on the low pressure side, claiming that it is suppose to show from 35-45PSI so he need to diagnose and asked me to prepare a fix of changing a recon compressor, expansion valve and drier..

my question is :
1. i read according to some research online that my gauge reading seems to be at the right pressure. why is he saying that it is too high?
2. what is the quotation of your service of cleaning the system?
