based on your description, most likely it's due to your blower (is the sound near to your front passenger side?)

Good if you'd visit us for a diagnosis check on your aircond system to understand better the problem and solution.

pm you too wink.gif

Hi cheelam, I'm driving a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. I noticed that sometimes there is a low "growling" sound that changes tones when I rev the car, almost similar to the "airplane sound" of a badly installed car audio system but very low pitch. This is very random and normally noticeable when car is stationary or slow moving.

Hyundai SC says that the compressor needs replacement. Do you work on Hyundai cars? What is the estimated cost of replacing the compressor and is it complicated work (remove a lot of parts etc)?

Thanks.

Hi Cheelam, currently I am driving ford focus hatchback year 2006 aka ford focus mk2.

Before this, my car don't have the air-cond issue, but until one day my car battery dead, thn I went to a workshop and change a new one.

Right after I change the battery, I start my car and I realize that my car aircond not functioning. Got wind blow out but not cold. I turn off my car and start again, then the air-cond back to normal. So I just ignore it after that.

A few days later, my car aircond start to not functioning. Still the same, got wind blow out, juz not cold. Thn I went to workshop, they checked and said my car not enough gas, they said will refill gas for me 1st to see whether is really no gas or gas leaking. After they refill the gas, thn my car aircond back to normal, got cold.

However, the second day, my car aircond not cold again. I haven't went to workshop to check for it due to after work already late, but I suspect is gas leaking then.

So, how much will ur guy charge for service the aircond, let say to change a new compressor? or any possible cost that could be la, so that I can have a money preparation on it.

TQVM

If yes, he much the cost changing a new compressor?

Based on your description, it could be gas leakage, overheating, etc.
Now we can't define where the main problem is, unless you'd drop by to check out your aircond system

pm u too

Hi Cheelam,

I'm driving a Saga BLM. For the last few days when the air cond is on, although it's still cool I felt stuffy and uncomfortable. I also think I smell something weird whenever I switch on the aircond. After I switch the aircond off, I don't feel stuffy and uncomfortable again.

The last time this thing happened I sent it to Proton COE at Shah Alam and they replaced the Cooling Coil under warranty. Said it was leaking. This was around 3 years ago.

Could it be the same problem occuring? How much is replacing the cooling coil if that's the case? Do you accept credit card as cash flow is an issue for me now.

Thanks

Most likely it's due to the aircond parts inside your car cabin, e.g. coil...
Would suggest you to do a full internal aircond service & cleaning, then we'd decide later if the coil is replaceable.

PM you on the details. Card is acceptable in our outlet without surcharge.

Yes, it helps!
Kelisa originally has only one fan, you'd add an extra fan in front of the condenser to assist on the heat distribution.
