Anyway, can anyone give me an idea about how MW3 multiplayer server works. Are they hosted by the company themself, or are they rented servers that's run by clan or anyone from the public?

Rather not start a flame war, so lets just say I've had horrible experience in some other game where the online servers all relies on people from the public (clan, any group of gamers or so on) renting servers and so these admins who have full control of the server use it to their advantage and pretty much ruin the experience.

I just want to know if MW3 servers are prone to such abuse too

It has a dedicated server, so basically everyone can run a server provided they have the adequate hardware and internet connection

dedicated server doesn't up your level but some server abuse using hack / mod to max out your level per kill.

But what about the non dedicated one? The one that can rank up without hack. Who run those servers?

MW3 proved that servers can be useless

that u can see in MW3 there are 2 options


normal according to best host

or server

if u look at servers , it`s empty ,

don`t waste ur money


servers are good for BF series

do u guys know how to host a local game?

I just hope in a few months, more people will buy this game and there will be more servers..
