hello everyone. im joining in to let u know i've got issue 1 and 2. the tanks are wonderful and really detail. working towards subscribing the series so i can get the freebies.

the tank that got me the most interested is the Sherman tank. This is from seeing them in Band of Brothers miniseries and video games.

hmm only through subscribing to them can get the freebies? but i don't have credit card though. and paying rm209.30 for 10 issues straight hurts my wallet.

oh. so can subscribe the many issues required to get all the freebies?

at the very least i need to subscribe to 4 issues to get all 4 freebies:

1) free issue
2) magazine binder
3) rack
4) Sd.Kfz.9 FAMO and Sd.Ah.116 trailer

hey guys. just got issue 3 & 4 from MPH at Alpha Angle. Pretty disappointed that they didn't have the background card for the tanks. i know u can make your own, but the cards they have before showed the tanks statistics. I'm meticulous bout this sort of detail, at the same time wish they keep up with the consistency

May I know how you repair the wheels on the Jagdpanther? Is it simply unscrewing the wheels and putting them back on in correct order? Just wondering...

Will you guys share your motivations in collecting the tanks?

Personally, I want to know the history of tanks and how they evolve from one war to another. Generally I'm keen with anything that has got to do with wars, especially the World Wars. I enjoy watching war movies, such as Band of Brothers (can't wait to get my hands on the Sherman tank model!) and Saving Private Ryan to name a few. No doubt I picked it up from my dad. He's totally engrossed when watching one that if my mum calls out to him during the fighting scenes, she'll get no peep from him lol.

Also, times spent playing numerous games since the days of Medal of Honor and Call of Duty (the World War series ok?) to Brothers in Arms and Full Spectrum Warrior...you name it...have taught me a thing or two about weapons and vehicles from that era. So with that being said, it's natural I'd fall for this kind of stuff.

Plus I don't have any models/toys collection before and this certainly fits my taste. Very macho like to own. Also the details on these tanks are pretty solid for its price, I must say.

What say you?

i'm trying to fix my jagdpanther wheels...

from the How-To with Jagdpanther roadwheels on front page,

2) using a sidecutter, cut the suspension rod holding the wheels from the inside and make sure it is flush with the wheels itself - what does it mean "flush with the wheels itself?"

3) glue back the wheels with corrected alignments - what glue you used?

what is dragon armor? is it a collection of tanks from other publisher?

I've just fixed my Jagdpanther wheels, thanks to Haruyuki guide. Will post pics later.

anybody here collects Deagostini's Treasures of the Earth? hehe I know it's a far cry from the military stuff, but hey collecting stones can be fun too no? yes? no? lol
