Ha ha, never too old for toys. Back in those days have to save daily just to buy the model kit. Model kits was plentiful at many dept stores incl Parkson and TRU during the 90s but gone by now.

Now I go to a stall in SS2 Mall to get my fix on some model kits i like. The stall owner also perform model kit building and painting.

These tank magazine are awesome. Priced within my budget. Wished the magazine talked more on the respective tank models.
*
I still visit toy shops from time to time. wink.gif

Been to SS2 Mall once so not aware of such stall yet. Might drop by if got time. I've moved away from plastic hobby kits since I dun have time(and patience) to build it.

Yeah, agreed that these magazines are great. Was thinking of collecting F1 but that comes in so many small parts and I couldn't appreciate that. Yeah, wished they give more info on the current tank issue rather than going around the same Matilda tank. I still find WWII tanks are still more interesting than any other era tanks.

Added on December 30, 2011, 10:01 amBtw, does anyone know how to attached the issues to the binder?

Quite simple, u need to break the plastic clips, and use them by sliding it at the bot and top center section of the magazine just slide the clip Into the holes and lock it to the center of the magazine

The model kit / building stall is located at the 1st Flr (below Times bookshop). He usually only starts after 1pm.

There used to be one huge model kit shop at Mid Valley...wonder where they have moved?

not sure where that shop in Mid Valley went but if any one is still interested in building their own plastic kits and painting them, why not try out Hobby HQ

their add is:

Telephone number: 603-92238588, 603-92239588.

and the good news is they have just kicked off their NY Sale, see below:

just snip the clips, spread the magazine in the middle, slot the clip into the hole for both top and bottom, and it's done and should secure the magazine just fine smile.gif

just took my 4th issue from popular wangsa walk. i agree with aquilaTE, oh god please allscript don't discontinue this magazine series as it is always sold out in my area. see, that means that people are into it right laugh.gif

Added on December 31, 2011, 1:14 ambtw just a heads up if you're wondering:
yes the wheels on the Jagdpanther were placed wrongly. 1st wheels should be inner instead of outer like the models provided sleep.gif
as for this one is from Altaya:
http://www.mikes-tanks.com/Altaya.htm

and forum discussing this last two years:
http://tanks.deagostini.co.uk/chat/yaf_pos...AGDPANTHER.aspx

as the pic provided:
user posted image
it can clearly been seen that the 1st road wheel supposedly insde rather than out.

the provided ones:
user posted image

and the fixed ones:
user posted image

other than that i don't see anything wrong with the tank hunter itself smile.gif do correct me if i am wrong.

Added on December 31, 2011, 1:33 amoh yeah and also do note the screw is a triangular ones, not the common phillips head for issue 4 rclxub.gif

Clear observations and remark given there, Tank Commander Tiger 1.

German tanks during WW2 are my favourite..cool design and strong firepower. Installed fear to the Allied tank forces.

Issue 3 might still be in in bookstores like Popular. As for issue 1 and 2, very slim chance already for now because as far as I know, all are sold out.
judge-the, as for the price after conversion, how much is that, and is the respond over there good towards the magazine?

i don't think so these magazines are doing well here. last time when i was asking about the flying scotsman magazine at the bookstore, the lady immediately told me not worth buying, better just go out and buy HO scale model train alone way much cheaper

nz2.50 x 2.5 = rm6.25 for each tank smile.gif

if anyone is interested - i was in Kinokuniya (KLCC) yesterday afternoon and they had x3 issues of #3 (with T-55A + binder) and #4 (Jagdpanther), better rush if you want those issues.

there is a newsagent in the Concourse level inside Cold Storage which i didn't check out but earlier in the week they had a restock of issue #2 (M1A1 Abrams) not sure if they have any left as i picked up 2 of the Abrams but if you are headin to KLCC check it out. the other myNews newsagent near Nando's heading towards the LRT doesnt carry any of the tank magazines

and as i posted earlier - Hobby HQ have a decent sale - i just picked up an Iraqi T-55 Easy Model 1/72 scale tank - normally $59.90 but its going for 45% off. haven't opend it up to compare that one witrh the issue #3 T-55A yet but HHQ has a larger WWII selection than modern armour. if not for the discount i don't think i would bother with them as $60.00 per tank is pricey

anyways, welcome aboard bro Pelindung thumbup.gif yeah i agree not a lot of it, most tanks featured here by forumers are model kits, and i am bad in assembling one. lovely pershing and sherman btw smile.gif
regarding the 1st issue, i dont think it is available for now in any bookstore as it has been sold out. but do bear in mind that allscript is suspending the publication until further notice, so i reckon if you could find any, go for issue 4 as you can get the 5th issue free when they continue the publication here locally biggrin.gif

@pelindung,

nice diorama.

I've done afew ww2(german and us) dioramas, but wasn't too good for display...only good enough for me to view it myself...LOL

anyways, I've gotten issue #4 as well, 2 days back. it's still in the wrappings...didn't have the time to open it up biggrin.gif

too bad issue #5 onwards are stalled...would have to wait and see.

but I've gotten #1, #2 and #4...which is my target...hence I'm not too disappointed...biggrin.gif
