Please stay away from purchasing laptop from PC3 shop at low yat!

Story:
I was going to buy Asus N53SV (OLD model) from them but they trying to sell me a demo/used unit as new unit to me. I had stress many times saying that I want a NEW UNIT. They showed me two units but i think both of them is not a new unit. Firstly, the Box Seal Tape was broken when he opened the unit. 2ndly, the sticker label such as Nvdia GPU, Intel and etc having little tear in the corner. 3rdly, dust is too much for a new unit. Lastly, which is the MOST UNBELIEVABLE THING is that one of the unit had CALL FOR DUTY: BLACK OPS PRE-INSTALLED!

This shop will never ever earn a cent from me and my frens.

@Devilhpk is normal for shop unsealed the laptop to do testing. buy at official asus better. if got anything direct deal or sue asus. less hassle, play no more games. no need buy at lowyat.

be wary they might even change the HDD or RAM.

moniqee time will prove. u're lucky if no issue. for laptop i recommend buy at official not lowyat. clone desktop buy at lowyat since no other better place seriously lowyat is the place to test laptop not buy laptop.

well wesley, you should tell your man, not to sell the demo unit as new. dun claim an open unit with dust and everyone's touch as a new unit. if currently no stock just tell the buyer. or bring down from store.

if they claim the demo unit is a new unit it is like cheating liao.

i dunno y TS said the lappy got black ops game. meaning they use the lappy to play around.. it also mean the laptop can play black ops w/o any issue. should be ok de.. just bargain v the pc3 guys.

i think should be cheap. i already check most of the shop. they will unsealed all the thing dun care laptop,netbook,ultrabook,ipad2,smartphone & etc to check it. the sealed can't mean anything cos i saw them got the sealed sticker. just sealed it back like new de. u can't even found out. mostly lowyat ppl all do like this... we can't blame them cos they unsealed it to double check the goods but mostly they will tried to con those noob guys or act it as display. so beware of it. cheap doesn't mean bad but it mean sux. expensive doesn't mean good but is better than cheap stuff for sure.

we can't complain any seller / shop on lowyet, because they allways right and perfect. you known ?

if has a problems, all is customer wrong. you see most user not believe you and PC3 give yor explain too.

remember when you buy IT product, when has a problems, just is misstake you. warranty you wait two week to two month that is normal and perfect servics.

you want allways tell to other user, any computer shop/ seller is good and perfect. So, do it, you are a good user on here.

Note: I didn't buy the laptop and the shop returned my deposit. Btw, that's no point of complain to your company as I not the victim. I just wanted to warn other shoppers to be so cautions and dun fall to this kind of fraud action. So, let's make it clear!

The staff called me and replied that there was NO MORE STOCK AVAILABLE and asked me to go take b the deposit. So, it fine for me as I know that A53SV already stop production. However, I was informed that they still got STOCK for A53SV when i reached the front desk. I had make my point clear that I just want a NEW UNIT only. Both of the unit that showed to me is not like new unit as I thought since I own Acer, Dell and Asus laptop before. It might be my personal grudge. But please explain why that one of the unit had Call for Duty: Black Ops folder in the desktop screen? U dare to claim it as New unit and show to me ? You should mentioned to me that you might had tested with it before or so! (Which i won't believe).

Finally, what Pandah had written clearly state my thought. DUN TAKE USED/DEMO UNIT AND SELL AS NEW UNIT!

Do you understand what TS was talking about? He asked for NEW unit but you gave him used/opened/demo (whatever who cares) unit. So was there an intention of fraud?

That is not the matter of unsatisfying or satisfying, were you trying to push your responsibility to your customer that they did not check the item properly?

You gave an unit that was not asked by the customer.

I also think the used/opened/demo (whatever who cares) unit shouldn't be priced on RRP, am I correct?

u dun get TS meaning.. he said wanna buy new ASUS A53SV (we know EOL but some shop might keep it b'cos of display set or din managed 2 sell it on time or wateva)
now pc3 shop got 2 units. if i din get wrong 1 should be display set, another mayb got issue return by other client that goin 2 buy b4 but end up return back so they tested (that the reason got black ops or 1 of the guy bring back home play with his homies)

*1 thing.. just tell client this 2 unit r unsealed. no need said is not new. let client use common sense.. if he budget tight, he will ask for discount but since he insisted wan new unit then u should said we got 2 unit but is unsealed & it still new & we will give u special price. that sound different wat. i dunno wat "canto" u dealed v TS end up he fed up v u. i x tau~

speaker i can explain. u notice those box is unsealed. got 1 year where ppl crazy bout speaker like altec lansing those atp & etc stuff... the cost r damn pretty low so quite good profit that time. this 1 i not sure r real or fake cos i not good on this. i bought edifier 4.1 around RM 260 that time..

If you reformat your laptop using your recovery partition, you will see that your windows will be preparing for 1st time run again.

Im not trying to argue with anyone but its kinda dumb to generalize the majority of the shop in lowyat as faker. Just do a detail check before buying and if everything ok you are good to go. If you dont know about the hardware ask a friend or do some research. From my experience so far I havent encounter any fake laptop or desktop hardware. Most seller will gave you a new and sealed unit if you ask.

In TS case, he is smart to check the laptop first. Once a while shit like this do happen, just be prepare when buying.

emm i just bought asus a43sv from one of the shop at lowyat.

Before i purchase at the shop, i check at asus website whether they are authorized retailer. Then i go those shops to compare price.

One thing can say is that, because of HDD price rise up, all the laptop price also go up (around RM100).

Most of the shops the retail price is RM22XX, except one shop is RM21XX. At first i thought it is recond (since there are rumors saying people selling recond asus laptop). Then i go back to check with Asus. They say the retail price was RM21XX at August/ Sep, before Thailand flood. Thus i confirm that shop that offer RM21XX is authenticated, not recond one.

Anyway, thanks TS for sharing the story. It is important to be well prepared if to purchase computer at lowyat. not only survey the price, but also knowing what you really looking for. like everyone say, avoid those arab/bangala.......

PS: Not regret getting a43sv, ice cool is really cool, except the speaker......haiz...labeled altec lansing, but not altec lansing quality....but N series should be better
