QUOTE(Kimballsos @ Jan 5 2008, 04:56 PM) Game Circle still has 1 box in store the last time i checked it out on Saturday.... Its gonna cost somewhere in the 4 to 600.. Fun to look at, a horror to fix and paint, the thing is a size of about 4 Leman Russ combine into 1.... Forgot to intro, I'm a IG player, not yet official cuz my army isn't complete, i just need a command squad and 1 troop. Got 2 battle tank, 1 heavy weapon and 5 men How much you need to spend to get a whole army? I heard it is very expensive from your bro.

Got 2 battle tank, 1 heavy weapon and 5 men Thanks but I am not a tabletop gamer to be honest(but I enjoy building kits), as I started to play DOW 3 years ago, and recently the dark crusade. Space Marine is always a jump start for noobs like me. Now I am training with Imperial Guard but no that frequent, can only practice with friends at CC 2 or 3 times XD. I like Imperial Guard, due to their more human characters and yes, all their heavy weapons. oops, I derail the thread from tabletop to PC XD. I guess its all pretty even depending on how many points you want your starter army to be. The amount you spend is roughly the same with exception to necrons, if you're fielding an army of warriors. the only problem with guard or other low pts/model armies is the amount of painting time. Otherwise its all good.

I was suppose to be a collector for GW and Forge world tanks.. but got poisoned into playing anyways.... I think RM1000 is the normal price to start any average army, except space marine whom are mainly plastic models. that makes them cheaper...

=) ah! yes warmachine's model are nice but the gameplay still lacks compare to GWs. Same goes with confrontation. GW kinda TM everything so that they monopolize the miniature tabletop game. The ncie aprt about Warmachine and confrontation is the small scale but the nice thing about W40k is large scale haha

its not hard to assemble the figures neither to paint them.
the hard part is to assemble them and paint them nicely, smoothly and detailed. thats the only hard part.
as for starters u can enjoy assembling and have a noob painting skills and u will do fine
