QUOTE(andrewyulm @ Dec 21 2011, 02:37 PM) Yeah Siri doesn't show you your location in Malaysia, only help you with other stuff, but quite useful sometimes la, if ur driving or jogging or whatever, the texting and calling and setting reminders or meetings or calender updates is quite useful. Depends how u use it la hehehe so, no way to just turn off 3G? isit possible in the next update, this bug will be fixed or it depends on hardware?Added on December 21, 2011, 2:39 pm actually, that DOES turn 3G off. but it turns ALL cellular data off, so you can't even use 2G or EDGE and basically you can't surf the net, can't use whatsapp, can't go to facebook. but that function (turn cellular data off) turns off ALL cellular data, which means you have turned 3G off. But you're right, 4s got no way to switch from 3G to 2G manually. so it's either ALL data or NO data. |

QUOTE(andrewyulm @ Dec 21 2011, 11:51 PM) huh? that's my perception, what i thought also, but that means any phone turn off 3g also will only turn off data, but the line still use 3g? may be true. the signal has 3g but our phone only take 2g.@hobbes1001 said "So if you turn off Cellular Data in a 3G coverage area, all calls you make will still be using 3G network, you will still be log on to 3G network" which one is correct? example my old nokia 5800 xm, once i turned off the 3g, my battery lasted longer. i was only on prepaid. no data plan and rarely online from my phone. only use for calls n sms but battery drains quickly. then read on LYN that i shud switch off 3g, and miracle the battery lasted wat longer. at least 40% longer. so, if we follow what this guys says, even off 3g, no difference, how could my phone consume less energy@battery? Added on December 22, 2011, 12:15 am QUOTE(andyfriends @ Dec 22 2011, 12:13 AM) 1. I love iphone but i dont understand why is the RT quality so bad, if we were to edit it ourself. Y cant it support the mp3 format like most of the hp do since iphone portraits to be the best smart fone eveer. for ques 1 if im not mistaken u can, but the file should be less than 40 seconds.2. in respect of data usage, do we also include the sending data or just downloaded data? for ques 2 i wonder as well. logically should only be send. but theory wise, no idea!!! QUOTE(andyfriends @ Dec 22 2011, 12:16 AM) 1. less than 40 but must convert to ACC or MKR (cant remmeber the name) where the quality of sound sucks. I dont know why they limit to 40 seconds. why cant have a default settinglike even we have longer than that, it would stop half way.. hmm yalo... agreed...soon im gona conclude the iphone is only good for showing off style and "gaya", but not in features.... could i conclude that? |

if u upgrade ios from itunes, it will download the whole operating system, thats why its 800+mb. if u update on the air, it will only download the needed update, so its damn fast. mine only took arnd 20minutes using wifi in a mall... i just had to buy a coffee and sit there. lol
Added on January 4, 2012, 12:10 ambtw, i upgraded from 5.0 (9A334) to 5.0.1 (94A05), then it shows no update available. why some ppl can update to 5.0.1 (9A406)?? btw mine is 4s 16gb white.... is it bcoz difference in memory size (16/32/64) ???
