During the Nestea's match, Naniwa threw the game and let Nestea win the match. He did that because that match is completely meaningless, basically a filler match.

So, what do you guys think about this? Is it justified for Naniwa to did that at the first place?

Its their culture... If one are being unmannered, will be hated to deep.

To people still wondering what was happening, watch this video..

Think Naniwa's ban was due to this rules.

Eventho the format were bullshit (yes it is), but how can you thrown up a LIVE MATCH just like this? He never think about how many people were watching it man.

But still, its great that it spice up the whole community, at least we get to see something interesting, dramas do happen in sport tho.

honestly i rather naniwa do this than giving us a 30 minutes borefest...
remember huk vs nestea? the pain of wathcing taht...
or stephano vs sjow (or something) where both try to lose so they dun meet sen..
or during dreamhack where the casters (day9 etc) complain how boring the match it since both players are totally out and dragging the game doing stupid stuffs...

IMO what ever the situation, the player should play the best as they can. They are pro and their job is to provide entertainment to audience. Even nothing on stake, people will satisfy watching the players do their best.

Edit: http://esfiworld.com/sc2/news/naniwa-disqu...-gsl-jan-code-s

After reading that, I don't think what he did is correct but then playing that game in the first place was kinda pointless and just forces rubbing into the pain is just "meh".. I don't know.. I am the only one who thinks they community is overreacting?

In situations like this, I'ma gonna do what I usually do.. Sleep.. thumbup.gif

result: demoted from slayers A team, kick out of the team house, forfeit codeS spot...

Ah...but to be honest Nani..sometimes takes thing to the edge..like calling Nestea idiot..which started the whole FUUUUU thing. Then Nani peeked at the replay when the game was reset..

Guess this time Nani just wanted to show Nestea..err..since you cant beat me ... let me pity you by probe rushing you....

Honestly, I think Nani is just being a prick this time. As the saying goes...what goes around...comes around

Whther the match has any bearing is not imporatant. What is paramount is that people pay to watch the games and being pros they at least shuold deliver some sort of entertainment lo... its like the premier league football. You cant pick a weak team to play against MC or MU or Ars...just because you know you cant beat them. You will get fines and docks points for doing so

Sorry yo..I am not with Nani this time...

well if u watch the interview, he was refering to the strat nestea used...
and at MLG even after all that drama, they were chilling n laughing in the player's lounge...
drama is ok, jz cause he is naniwa and he did it to nestea he get hated...
MC throat slit idra, murlock suitted MVP and he is sitll loved...

i dun agree with him probe rushing, as he said he should jz 4 gate or something...
he did the extreme of what other players been doing for a long time (look in the examples in my previous post)...

basically what happen in EPL/ BPL is tat u have a regulated body to handle such issue...
which is why sc2 would require something equivalent...
as much as i dislike KESPA, sc2 need KESPA2.0

probably cuz koreans dont know what is the meaning of gg cuz they are bad in english, literary it means good game, when u dont think the game is good, but going against yourself by typing it, it seems like some nazi dictatorship to me when ppl punish players like this, and i think naniwa is legitimately right cuz he has right as a player to throw game away since the system is quite messed up, but he is morally wrong by doing it. he should not be punished by the way of taking off his code S place but rather endure the humiliation by the viewers at his own accord

I think you get me wrong, not just not typing gg, they are punish even wrongly type 'ww', 'g' or 'ggg' that we often see in SC2. SC2 "strict" have no where near SC1 at the moment.

both players lossed 3 matches each in their bracket.

both of them are eliminated from the tournement

if u watch the entire series tat day, i dun mind naniwa throwing tat game away...
cause: -
1. pointless game
2. a better match is after that (polt vs mma)
3. the 3-way tie rematch between polt, mma and leenock

u get more than what u wish for when that 3 way tie happen

this analogy does not apply. i mean, it is not what u think. Would u watch Brazil vs Spain as a filler match during the opening of the World Cup? this is kinda how it is in the gsl. U make those players tired playing some meaningless games for no real reason. And worst still, this exposes the players' specific strategy for potential upcoming players to abuse their playstyle. If nestea and naniwa would not use their special tactics during those meaningless matches because they are afraid of ppl knowing and try to abuse their new strats, then they are being completely logical. Nestea was being completely illogical here and i think naniwa is right to call him an 'idiot' unless freedom of speech is restrained in korea. Nestea was bound by the unnecessary high standard of morality of korea since he is culturally attached to it. IMO, moral is quite a b**** becuz everyone, every country has their own moral standard and after all they dont mean anything because what is right to u, doesnt mean it is right to other person (sorry for being philosophical here).

this goes back to my favourite quote 'Respect must be earned, not demanded'. gsl is demanding the respect from those players even though they have some shitty system in the blizzcup but instead the gsl should earn the respect from the players by setting up a good system.

Well, u buy the tic for the whole season. u dont buy the tic for the filler match. imagine if u wanting to buy a house and it includes a doghouse for u, but in fact u hate dog, would u be complaining that the other houses that u are considering to buy do not include doghouses? somehow this reminds me malaysian cheapskate mentality hope everyone will change smile.gif

Who's Ian?

Anywho, I agree that this whole deal is blown out of proportion the more I thin about it. GSL forcing a player to play a game which carries no significance in any way whatsoever is just pure "meh" in all its "meh-ness" glory.. Though, if I was Naniwa, I'd probably build like a whole frickin link of cannons all the way to Nestea's base or some funky play like that.. Haha
