it's not about getting the data for web browsing, psn etc. it's about ur Unifi wifi don't have location data.

try google skyhook and register ur wifi with it.

I myself don't try it yet but thats the way for it

iphone suck data from maxis/celcom/digi/etc to pull map tiles from google so that u can use google maps in iPhone...and then...iphone can pinpoint your location bcoz it get GPS hardware built in.

wifi vita dont have GPS hardware thus cannot locate u and thats when error cannot locate u come in...after u click ok the map still load right...just that it don't know where u r...

reg ur wifi wift skyhook..

Question:  If I pair a WIFI only PS VITA to cellphone that has 3G acting as wifi access point... would there be a difference to merit really getting the PS VITA with 3G built in?

yes u can do that.the only different that ur vita don't have gps hardware. if wifi version need to rely on skyhook.

ah its like ipad... no gps on wfi only.

anyway if cannot install garmin or papago or anything in vita that will utilze the gps like mobile phones can, vita wifi only doesn't lose much compared to vita 3g.

thanks for the reply smile.gif

Oh is it? Sorry for my bad. I thought more in MY. How about PS3? Is it same? More in US?

Another question is, if I register US, can I get US content? Do I need to have US VPN?

u can check vita tread and notice quite a numbers of members use US for their vita.taking advantages of lot more content in US SEN. for ps3 I think it's quite a mix.i use MY for ps3.

and yes u can get US content if u have US acc.no VPN need for game related content. but movie content in US SEN need VPN. almost similar tu iTunes US concept
