Hi All,

I've planned to buy PS-Vita would you recommend me what i should choose ?

Right now confuse with psv 1000 or psv 2000, i will just need the wifi, no 3g its fine.
What I can benefit for psv 1000 despite for the good led screen ?

How much the memory card i should have ? I just dont want to spend more in the future in case i need space.
Did 64gb too overkill ?
Or 32gb enough ?

What kind of accessories is the must ?

What PSN account is should have ?

I like kind of arcade game like puzzle boble, mario bros alike, fighting and racing game, i also like strategy / turn based games, not fan of RPG and FPS game.

is vita good for me ?

i have been in dilemma between the 1k and 2k but in the end i choose the 1k series
hmm.. other than the screen differences, the 2k series being reported to have much better battery life. and its slimmer, lighter and have mch more internal memory compare to 1k series.

i choose the 1k cos of the screen. good battery life, lighter and slimmer does not really attract me as i dont think i will stick playing it for such long time.
the 2nd full charge, i tried to estimate the playing time by playing sao with wifi on, played 4h only get notification battery low, so its good enough for me.

the sdcard is for digital aka download via the store. if im not mistaken, most game are at least 2gb. u still need to save the data, and game update.
64gb is ok if u planning to store game in a single sdcard. (i did some research arguing that loading time is slower compare to game card, im not sure and personally i dont care tongue.gif )

as for psn, from my understanding, us store are better than msia. had to let other member here help u out.

u can go search available games for vita, then go to youtube see the gameplay.
this is wat i do. and it suit me.. as for list of game for vita, u can go to garage sales look for available game.

hope my explanation does not confuse u, im not good at explaining sweat.gif

Hi xcxa23,

Thanks for your prompt, its definitely help me out.
Seems quite positive i'm gonna try to find psv 1k if still available or psv 2k.
Will try to find compare review on this.

Yes, I've planned to get the game from PSN thats why I would like to spend on the 64GB,
But wait, what is the pros and cons having a game from PSN and from Gamecard ?
Is there any cons if I want to sell the Vita in the future with the game from PSN ?

One of my friends said that Vita can be cracked, was this true ?
I'm not asking how to crack, but what is the pros and cons if we do this ?

Thanks again.

try asking here.. https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2138709.
i bought from him.. fast and efficient..

the pro's and con's, afaik
1. gamecard, transferable, meaning able to resell it once finish the game.. (funding for next game) [pro's]
2. gamecard faster loading time (not sure if its true, based on searching here and there on the net) [pro's if its true]
3. gamecard contain only single game, which mean had to change each time wanna play other game [con's]

1. psn, able to store multiple game in a single sdcard [pro's]
2. psn, afaik, us got lots of sales compare to msia hence cheaper? [pro's]
3. psn, loading game slower (not sure how true) [con's]
4. psn, if im not mistaken, the sdcard are not transferable, something about the card linked to the psn acc. [con's]
5. psn, not able to resell for funding new game [con's]

im pretty sure lowyat does not allow topic/discuss about crack. so, i jz leave it there. for our own good tongue.gif

ps/if im giving wrong info, please correct me. im willing to learn notworthy.gif

hi!

i am looking into getting a Vita, and I have a question that need some clarification.

I use my r3 account to play games on the PS3, and am looking into linking my R3 account for Vita.

What I want to ask is that can I install R1 games into the Vita? I can register the Vita with R1 account, but since my FFX/ X-2 saves are in my R3 account... I can't play them on the Vita if I register it with R1 account.

So hoping if someone can clarify?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Guys,

I had vita now, and with 8gb memory.
I also have plan to buy 64gb.

Is it okay to slot in and out memory ?
What is the pros and cons having 2 memory ?
Or should I just sell 1 of the memory to LYN ?

You can play any region games on the Vita as it is region free. However saves are tied to accounts so you can't use your R3 save if you decide to play the game on your R1 account.

For games with both Chinese/English like Sword Art Online you have the option to choose either Chinese and English text. If it's only Chinese then the game is only localized in Chinese, no English options.

It's fine to exchange your memory cards but please remember to power off the Vita by holding the power button for about 2 seconds before doing so and not just putting it into sleep mode as your files can be corrupted. Having more than one memory card is useful when you want to switch between accounts for whatever reason. No cons besides possibly losing it because it is so small.

my saves are in my R3 account, so that's not a problem. Was worried earlier if the R1 games are able to copy into Vita with an R3 account but now I guess I don't need to worry anymore. Hehe.

thank you so much for the clarification!

Install digital R1 game to R3 PS Vita account? Is a no no there... Digital game cannot be transfer between another region account. Unlike hard-copy game, you can use it on your vita whatever region you have.

The PSN Store is an apps inside the ps vita device. One you create account (either R1, R2 or R3 region) you can access the store. Using credit card mostly if you create R3 account, or you can purchase reload card by the name of PSN Card
