I've been searching around for the changing rim voiding warranty issues. It seems like there are a lot of different opinion on this matter. The most common one is that once changing the rims and there is problem with absorber/suspension.. SC will say that it is void because it is related to the RIM.

Any of you have ever encounter or deal with a SC that gives claims to the suspension/absorber even though you have changed the rims?

Any 1.8 mt owner want swap their rear bonnet with 2.0p?

Just notice that there is holes removing the ducktail spoiler + chrome at the back.. Plan to install the lancer GT wing.. i think is not a good idea to keep the duckstail spoiler there right?

Any idea how much to tampal the holes?

Any of u here driving 2.0p and remove the ducktail? Mind to share how you guys get the holes done & cost?

Sorry la guys, i cheapskate ma can't afford lancer gt need put fake lancer gt spoiler lol

I already bought the spoiler from one of the member here. 2nd hand.

Just want to know the cost of removing the ducktail + fixing the holes. If too exp i think i just resell the spoiler

Thanks for sharing this. Give me an idea of the range that I would be paying if I would have to change to 17". Can say the sweet spot is RM2k.

Plan to go for 17" due to comfort level + budget. But I'm really worried bout if the suspension / absorber have issues I won't be able to claim the warranty.. Guess there is risk to be taken to make the car looks good.

Get a feel of the OEM setting & comfort and then decide on if to take 17" or 18".....

Haha.. been reading a lot of comment that the 18" ride is definitely a lot more harsh. Some even revert back to 17". But it does make the car looks good. I either change it straight after getting the car or remain stock for at least a year. Just started working not that long, good idea to save up some money first.. haha

the car is very very comfortable cruising at 150-160. anything higher than that, need more concentration.

observation
1. waja,saga can be fast on the straight, but not all the way.
2. wira can tackle corner at 150km/h( this morning sleep.gif, power)
3. forte not very good in cornering in the corners at ipoh
4. camry/accord can go 170km/h and never seen again.
5. vios city myvi will give up after 150, but saga/waja will go till 160+

if CVT over rev, it will sound tut tut. (accidentally clicked )

and unless you wanna go 5000rpm above, otherwise, just put into D is enough.

not to condone racing, but, well, just sharing.

If i have the money I would definitely go for the Honda Civic 2.0. I miss driving that car on the highway.. Effortlessly go up to 180km/h and you still feel the grip on the road.
