Hid runs cooler than normal filament bulbs. The ppl whol tells you otherwise knows nuts what they selling. The cover turn yellow is due to exposure to sun dirt and over time eats into the outer surface. This yellowish layer can be polished off by some special cleaners. Poor quality bright bulbs run very hot and this maybe melt the chrome reflector and connectors.
On the higher beam adjustment, let me check on it. I think it is high enough for me... |

If the number matters so much (and you only want 1 partticular number and no other alternatives), then better tender cause who knows the person in front of you in the queue could have purchased the number! Ppl tender for the number way before and some even have insiders if the number is HOT. There is a list of hot numbers in the JPJ website that you have to tender, cannot be bought via normal queue. Go check it out...
