OIC.... burning from engine area dont mean the HID wiring or ballast have to do with it.... could be ruptured fuel line or fuel filter flow oil to hot exhaust... the most common cause of burning...

An electric spark wont do damage unless there are accelerant present, in this case petrol.... look at the size of the flames u can tell that petrol and engine oil is burning... an accident of that nature can rupture the fuel line...

Just saying.... but always keep a good mind in doing wiring, esp to those accessories shop that donno how and where to tap....

EV also can burn due to the Li battery pack.

Change the fuel lines to steel braided or those Miflex hoses
