Ada lubang lagi ka....??? Me too wants it MeToo..... errr....  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

1. 4 rims of 17in... doubt it.... 3 each can la...
2. U can ask the shop, its still a transaction.... there is no rule that you must trade rims+tyres in and out...
3. I'd go with 7.5", more stable, and more option if you wanna go 225 later...  brows.gif  brows.gif
*
Good advice, I leaning towards 7.5" also.... as for the lubang yes got many in Singapore/Johor... in KL car stuff are super overpriced....

QUOTE(XCInspire @ Dec 13 2011, 05:45 PM)
1) I don't think so can fit 4 rims.. 2 only, other two, fold down rear seats, put news paper and put there
2) I think they will but will sell at higher price since you did not buy rims from them
3) Depends if you like wider tires.

Btw, got lubang get somemore rims??! Ori? Which design?
*
Good idea on the seat... as long as can fit 4 rims can le... cause those are chop shop.... they dont have tyres.. or they will fit some botak tyre for u to tahan until u reach a proper tyre shop.

Actually our 114.3 is very easy size to find.. those toyota/subaru's 100 is very hard to find. Also... these street ricer kai... 7.5" they dont like.. not wide enuf... only 8" and above in good demand.. so these price can get

My friend managed to get a BBS 6.2kg rim 17"x8" for under 1.7k

I can only give my choice on ur no 3 question.

My rims are 7.5 " wide. For 17" diameter rims, you want to go at least 0.5" wider than stock rims, which i was told to be 6.5".  Please, no hard&fast rules, just people/expert's opinion, readily available if you google.

So 7" to 8" is recommendable, if you go for 215 mm wide tyres.

That was the guide i got, and my 2 sen opinion.
*
Thx for yoru input!

I think will go for 17x7.5, tyre 215/50/17..perhaps even 55 dun wanan go 45 as its too thin... le.. i have enuf of thin thin tyres.

Will focus on light weight rims to offset the bigger size.. something under 7kg would be good.

Anyone can clue me in on how much our original inspira rim weight?

Hmm... then will continue to look see rims lor....
*
So the rims standard is...

Rays/Volks > BBS > Enkei/OZ > replicas?

Is it that way?

Thus my biggest reason to consider 17s.... them rims are one time investment and lasts as long as the car itself (if you take care of them).... it's them rubbers that kills....  cry.gif  cry.gif

+1

18" looks nice but not worth lahhhhh.... if really looks so important... go 19" lor... then no hole/gap anymore.. fill up to the brim.. looks SEXY brows.gif

8.5 kg each rim
*
Hmm... not too heavy for stock rims... but those lightweight we can get sub 7kg i think... 1.5KG savings for the rim is quite significant... should improve acceleration + FC.

However.... since the wheel's weight mainly come form the TYRE itself... go get 18"/19" and get thinner tyres... sure save weight.... for more vroom vroom brows.gif

1.5kg weight savings from rim x4 = 6kg.

Throw away spare tire already more than kau tim it. Keep tank at half mark will already save 25kg.   tongue.gif

Best still, driver lose weight by 10kg  rclxms.gif

Chabutzzz kuat kuat....
*
Saving weight at the wheel have a much bigger impact then saving weight on the car itself, its like each KG saved at the wheel is liek 3~4k on the car itself.

This wheel below.... recond de size ngam ngam.. only RM2100 brows.gif

Is Ray's GramLights edition

Please be careful MeToo. Those rims are +52 offset. Stock rims +46 offset.  Ask Mr Google and use the tire+rim comparator before you decide, if you have not.
*
Ya offset kinda off (no pun intended) but the price is attractive... so i reckon others within same range should be aroudn that price... I have a thing for Rays product...

Havent decide.. waiting for my friend to send me photo of some rims... can get "brother" price for cheaper see his goods first lor...

I was surfing Rays site for rims.. then my wife come over "Har? New car wan change rims liao?!"...

I was like.. sei for lor this time.... then she sat down and start giving opinion which one nicer thumbup.gif

Ok...just for sharing purpose with you guys on the comparison of the tyre size changes option versus our stock tires...

I compared our stock tyre specs against

1- 215/45/17
2- 215/50/17
3- 215/45/18
4- 225/45/18

And just as an reminder/note to all - When changing tire sizes, its recommended staying within 3% of the diameter of the original tire. Any more than this and you face the risk of brake failure.  shocking.gif

Nice... notice the Lancer GT/Lancer Sportback's 215/45/18 almost exactly same diameter as our stock (lancer EX's).

Also noticed something.... their tyre... despite being 18"... only cost like ~RM80~100 more then the 17".... very very minor difference.... wtf... i thought it would be like ~300 more each.... doh.gif

Instead of 60, I think 55 have more option right?
Not diff much also for the height.
*
yes... 55 MUCH more option... but if u compare the price with say 17"... its minor.. like 30~50 bucks

I feel so sor hai... now only realise price difference between 16" , 17" , 18" tyres very minor difference.. its the fragging 19" that price easily x2.5... doh.gif doh.gif
