As the title says...
i was talking to my bike shop owner today...
i took my krr 150 to get burnt sparkplug fixed...
i mentioned my admiration of the gixxer 600-750.
He said 'take the Yamaha XJR bro, the spare part and resale value of gixxer is badddd......'
So, may i ask the experts, which CBU (this excludes some kawasakis and yamaha xjr 600...) superbikes (more than 500cc) have the (i)best resale value, with (ii)widespread cheap parts availability in malaysia?
thanks for your input...
(ps - by CBU i want to mean from japan/italy/usa) - thailand only builds below 500cc bikes....rite?)

But why have everyone forgotten ducati - ok price is rm 150-200k, (volvo price...) but with NAZA backing and progressing sales, if not spare parts, then 2nd hand value should be good?

-so if CBU bikes means built in thailand...
-how to get CBU made in japan bikes? - the spare parts would be same as asian made bikes i assume.
-you say CBU-CKD almost same --> i agree for made in malaysia vs made in thailand, but made in japan - i believe that makes a difference.
-i just read in another thread about Ducati's spare part prices... rclxub.gif
-for now gixxer 600 still my next target...unless someone can convince me otherwise...

The ducati looks cool - but i'm more into sports bikes.
before jumping into gsxr 600, i might do a stopover with the 250s.....ninja vs cbr250...hond is good except the ugggly look-if honda could just stop producing the annoying rabbit looking bikes vmad.gif ...did chris bangle join them after bmw?
anyway my ninja 150 keeps stopping while idling if choke not max...if choke max the spark plug apparently gets spoiled -anyway just changed sparkplug.

srsly guys, whats the matter with honda? soichiro said 'racing improves the breed'...and they still make very reliable bikes.
But of late, they seem to just not care. Maybe i should start facebook petition for honda to change to better designs - even 2001-2005 designs are better i think. Send their designers to train at ducati/mv augusta. Or why don't honda pay money to this tamburini feller to design something since honda is so rich?
anyway the motor mags are saying that there has been a shift of power in superbike world now - back to the europeans: bmws1000rr, ducatis, aprilia ktm...
I'll probably try new workshop - if it keeps annoying me, i might buy the rabbit and try to put repsol color or strip it down - i dunno. kawa not making me happy at 150, how to go for 250 - which some say efi, some say carb (honda 250 definitely reliable efi)
And i hope yamaha comes out with a decent 250 to dethrone the ninja as honda has failed (due to looks mainly...). I rather ride an owl rather than the rabbit.

Yamato, i have no objections at all with electric engines - but big bikes are objects of desire and should look good - that's the least they could do - everyone knows they go fast.
Japanese can focus on any engine tech they want - but in the process i hope they don't clog the world roads with ugly looking bikes. In jam, sometimes i can at least stare at some beautiful vehicles...
honda are you listening?

i think beauty is generally accepted - a beautiful chopper is beautiful, even if i don't like choppers.
you might not like black haired asians - but u will agree aishwarya rai is beautiful...
you might not like blonde males, but you still agree brad pitt is good looking...
you might hate the inconvenience of sportcars, but how many say the lamborghini avantador is ugly?
there are always minorities, but i believe beauty is generally agreeable for most of the people.
basically the newer hondas are ugly, this is my politically incorrect opinion.
