a sad story

http://news.yahoo.com/remains-274-us-troop...-081234306.html

The US Air Force dumped the cremated, partial remains of at least 274 troops in a landfill before halting the secretive practice in 2008, the Washington Post reported Thursday.
The procedure was never formally authorized or disclosed to senior Pentagon officials, who conducted a review of the cremation policies of Dover Air Base -- the main point of entry for US war dead -- in 2008, the Post said.
Nor was the dumping ever disclosed to the families of the fallen troops, who had authorized the military to dispose of the remains in a respectful and dignified manner, the Post said, citing Air Force officials.
The newspaper quoted officials as saying that a precise count of the remains disposed of at a Virginia landfill would require searching through the records of 6,300 troops whose remains have passed through Dover since 2001.

hmm..should have let the families know first before they did anything

in a few cases, after an IED attack body parts are not found and sometimes some body parts are so messed up they had to amputate so they could have a open casket funeral

i was tasked to help clean an US army humvee that was hit by a 200kg IED.still gives me chills

5.56 has a high tendency of deflection when it hits curved laminated windshileds unless you shoot it at a 90 degree angle.bullet deflection is a problem for all calibres but 5.56 deflect the most

plus,5.56 will yaw and fragment after it hits a barrier thus a lower wound capability.i hope LEOs don't just have the standard NATO SS109

my philosophy is 'shoot it enough,it will die' so its good

in my current state of inebriation the info provided above may be true but it may be total BS

Take a look at this video. They are mostly armed with MP5's. Try to count how many shots were fired. Take note that only one round actually hit the suspect.

Now, that is only a car windshield. Glasses on an airplane are much, much thicker.
*
both 5.56 and 9mm are weak against intermediate barriers

solution:shoot the F'er at the same point of aim until rounds get through

its cheap, tough as balls, long loiter time and a fairly good payload.whats so bad?

in a firefight these things are godsends

the super tucano was never meant to be a trainer in TNI-AU

the RMAF uses the BAE Hawk for light attack

on another note, the TOW canister bags are perfect for storing pringles and candy during harsh winter FTXs,as long as the officahs dont find out that you swapped the missiles for candy

dude when you in your LAV don't you afraid of any tow or rpg attack?
*
mehh...the media overreacts to everything

we took hits from RPGs all the time and once even from a soviet recoilless gun,we lived

it depends on luck.RPGs are not accurate but a guy i knew got hit with an RPG to the chest. he was sitting in the LAV's commander seat

QUOTE(nairud @ Mar 3 2012, 05:53 PM)
actually,

what's the difference between the marines and the army? Yeah you have Navy and the Airforce too.
*
The 21st century USMC is basically a second army

Other marines liek the RM are small and mobile amphibious raiding parties.basically infantry units with boats

The army is like a broadsword and the marine is like a small knife

Btw abu,guess where I'm at
