I plan to buy sgs2 ori from an online retailer, but I freak out when they told me the SME warranty card and receipt(proof of purchase)does not comes along with the package.Doesn't we need those when we claim warranty frm samsung?Or we can just bring the phone to the service centre?

I don't think u can find any ori i9100 anymore, I ask many dealers out there, none of them having ori i9100. Unless you are comfortable with 2nd hand i9100 unit than is another story.

They say I can just provide the SC with the IMEI number. I also wonder why they cant just provide a receipt.

Unless you chg phone regularly, I suggest buying ori set. I am once like you can't choose between ap or ori, bt now I have decided to buy only ori as the warranty worth more than any other things. If you are concern about the availability of custom roms for i9100G, they might surface more when time passed. For now I think it is better to play on the safe side, nobody know what will happen to the phone for the next 1 or 2 yrs right?
