Just got an SGS2 from DIGI package. The problem is the DIGI staff says only 1 year warranty. I think the guy don't know the full details....how to do e-warranty by yourself? I know u need to send an SMS, but you need the SHOP CODE (of DIGI)...what is the shopcode of DIGI?

Just want to share regarding the Samsung e-Warranty for people who bought from DIGI. Default warranty is 1 year, and DIGI don't do shit for their customers. They're suppose to help customer register, but they don't do anything. Checked with DCHAT also same, must call Samsung.

So i called Samsung just now, you just need to fax your receipt+name+contact no to them and check your status a week later. Good work from Samsung support. At least they help...not like those lazy DIGI buffons too lazy to send an SMS!!!!

You can SMS the following to check:

PC <IMEI NO> 62002

62002 is for DIGI, MAXIS and CELCOM i can't remember, it should be written on your e-warranty slip or else call and ask Samsung, those guys are helpful.

Speaking of card, anyone can advise? Is class 10 card performance much better than class 4?? I am buying a card soon...can SGS2 support 32GB btw??

Added on December 9, 2011, 5:37 pmBtw, i am still confused about the memory partition in the SGS2.

1) Device Memory (2GB) - install apps, system data.
2) Internal USB memory (11GB) - install partial apps where the apps is big (like Gameloft games)???
3) External memory card - everything else (some apps can move here).

What about camera photos, videos and music files? Can i dump this to no (2) Internal USB memory since there is so much space here, so everytime the photos and videos captured store here?? And where did the 3GB went missing?? 2GB+11GB=13GB!!! (Suppose to be 16GB).

Of course especially if you need to read big fikles eg vidEos from it. Even 64GB can be supported on the SG II though officially listed support up to 32GB

Added on December 9, 2011, 5:40 pm
3GB used by phone system
You can manually copy your files to the 11GB portion - in file explorer is listed as internal SD. All apps eg gameloft data will be installed in the 11GB partition while the app itself will be on the 2 GB partition
*
You mean i copy the music, videos and photos to the internal USB manually? Then the camera app cannot see the photos already rite?

WOOHOO!! guys! I've updated the latest firmware 2.3.6 for my SGS2 G version....the CPU now runs at full 1200Mhz instead of 1008Mhz previously!

Does an Antutu benchmark score, it tells the whole story, scores 54xx, just a little less than the SGS2 non-G at 56xx as per the below link.

http://10division.com/samsung-galaxy-s2-gt...u-need-to-know/

My screen clearly display the CPU as 1200Mhz now(instead of 1008Mhz as per the link above)...so forget about the non-G AP sets...GO FOR ORIGINAL SETS!!! And oh yeah, Asphalt 6 runs fine...no problem at all!

Chill, i am not boasting on what apps i got..
If you want to support the apps, go ahead.
Dont come and tell me what is wrong or right, legal or illegal.
I am giving opinions on the apps only...
I'm sure that there are many people with better apps than me, so why i bother boasting?
Anyway, i am not as rich as some of you people..
So getting free aps is what i do...
If you are so rich, by all means buy every single app in the market...

Got money to buy the phone but no money to pay for the apps? You don't need to be rich to buy all the apps, you just buy what you need. Most apps that I find useful are only a few ringgit. If you found some good apps/games these few days with the 10 cents promotion did you buy it? If 10 cents also rather go to download pirated apps then you're just sad..
*
Exactly....people who used to pirating just copy/download EVERYTHING they can get their hands on...hey it's FREE...but how many of those games/apps you actually use and play??? Even the 10cents games/apps, i only buy those i want. This makes the difference of what one can afford and cannot afford....KIASU people who want to download the entire Android Market apps...OF COURSE CANNOT AFFORD LAH!!! LOL.

Light transmittance for Oleophobics is better though Anti Fingerprint isn't as good hmm.gif http://static.lowyat.net/uploads/attach-48...-1308744351.jpg

I'm looking for something that is very clear, but with some anti fingerprint properties. Some say Oleophobics is as good as 'No SP'?

How's the Ultra Optics?

Where to buy this and how much??

I wonder why a lot of ppl say Android is problematic and can be use only by geek and not suitable to ordinary user..?? o_O
I think the phone is okay to be used right out from the box without any problems whatsoever. It's when you pandai2 tweak here and there without real knowledge of what you're doing, it's then all this problems usually start. (installing apk and crack apps is another common reason).
My advice to new SGSII user. Learn more about your phone while it still on its original stock rom first. Always remember, your phone must be function correctly before you start doing anything else. There's no need to root and flash custom roms IF you dont know anything about it. You stock rom phone can and will function even without rooting and flashing. Do not follow other user just because they do it so i also want to do it. Other user do it because they know what there're doing. You in the other hand dont know anything on what you're trying to do. This usually the reason why your phone start behave badly. And sadly, when this type of problems arise..ppl start blaming the phone or Android rather than themself.
*
I totally agree with you...Android is extremely user friendly....who ask those geeks to hack hack and then got problem, then blame Android...doh.gif...if you jailbreak IPHONE will also encounter the same problems.

But overall, i still find HTC Sense the best UI among Android phone...everything just works fine. I still dunno how to get my SGS2 to sync to Exchange...haiz...
