QUOTE(mtxx @ Dec 13 2011, 10:06 PM) since its new and you have nothing much to lose, why not try a factory reset. YES and do not install any pirated/cracked apps - such apps are often cause hanging-freeze issuessettings>privacy>factory data reset Camera hang - are you using G-model - seems to be quite a problem ; if so better send in service center to check |

Manually set how each of your apps to access internet. Using droidwall creates a lot of unstable issues
Actually if you use a smartphone get unlimited data plan nowadays not that expensive |

Each individual data needs are different. One cannot tell another how much is sufficient. If you are always in WiFi areas the need is much lesser. As for me I sign up the 3 GB - I used average 2- 2.5+ GB monthly as most areas I go to does not have free wifi

QUOTE(Matrix @ Dec 17 2011, 08:42 PM) A word of caution. When installing Papago, it may sounds simple..just plug in phone and copy the NAVISEA folder... I never faced such issues installing papago x5But for the SGS2 and possibly other samsung phones, you'll encounter problem. What u need to do is, before plug ion the cable top the PC USB port, click Application->settings->UsB utilities. You'll see a Green Android robot and after u plug in successfully, the robot will turn Orange. Then only u copy the files over USB.... if u plug in directly, it'll detect also and seems normal, but when you copy files halfway, it'll fail... And there's no Garmin on Android. So only Papago is the choice. There are others' like Sygic but no Malaysia map. I am also using sygic aura Msia n spire maps Both I paid for it - not cracked versions |

QUOTE(emzexend @ Dec 19 2011, 08:38 AM) No way to verify such stuffs ? Why you are concerned ? If you have bought it with the box sealed and from SME - no need to worry about it. If you bought it and box already opened - than no way to verify whether batteries are already changed. There are plenty such fakes ( exactly as originalmbut if you look closely at the fonts size, print quality you can see the difference) - can buy from EBay BTW mine previously was Made in Japan/Finished in Korea - same as my present Galaxy Note Added on December 19, 2011, 9:27 am QUOTE(sunnyboy @ Dec 19 2011, 09:13 AM) Lauch app - under process - select partial wakelocks to see the listThis post has been edited by benny888: Dec 19 2011, 09:27 AM |

QUOTE(reijikageyama @ Dec 19 2011, 09:29 AM) I bought the NOTE mainly for its bigger display ( which btw is also nicer ). Another bonus is the S-pen with its exceptional writing, sketching features which you cannot find elsewhere. The HTC Flyer stylus pen pales terribly compared with itOverall the SGS II is a better performer - slightly more slick, faster and smoother. The difference is very slight. If one has never used a SGS II you will be amazed at the SGS Note performance. Overall the Note battery life is way, way much better versus the SGS II , easily 4-5 hours more and is not so "hot" compared to the SGS II Due to the higher resolution of the Note , so far all 3rd party launchers lag slightly. I kept the default TouchWiz as it is perfectly geared for the Note and no lag at all. All 3rd party launchers do not show any lag on the SGS II. I have tested Launcher Pro, ADW EX, GoLauncher, Zeam and Spb shell 3d ( i permanently use this on the SGS II) : all these launchers display slight lag ( which i do not like at all) on the NOTE |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Dec 19 2011, 09:59 AM) Need some advice on the GPS. Just installed PAPAGO X5 on the SGS2 and tested it yesterday on the road. I found that for some reason, the GPS seems to lose signal easily. Tested with GPS Status and another GPS software for the signal. Never have such issues at all using papago X5 on my previous SGS II. I am using original paid version. It is infact very good and is many times, maybe hundred times better than the older SGS , whose GPS sucks big timeWhen i use PAPAGO, driving on the highway, sometimes, the PAPAGO will freeze for a while (i suspect it lost the GPS) and won't move, sometime later when it picked up the signal again, it'll jump to the current location and proceed. I don't have such problem with my old HTC Desire... Samsung phones seems like having a lot of GPS issue (including the original Galaxy S ...)...anyone have solution or similar experience? |
