Make your own bread according to your ingredient is the BEST.
Rice, flour, wheat, potato, nuts and other flavours according to your liking. Consider investing in a break maker. http://techcrunch.com/2010/12/07/japans-to...er-gopan-video/ |

i never knew such thing like gardenia owned by kroni umno in the very first place, only that when massimo made its debut at stores near my place, i just gave it a try since all long before this dah puas had gardenia, why not try sumthing new, then after bought one, i now prefer Massimo since price cheaper and more gooding, the green theme color also very striking my eyes.

I tried massimo a few months ago, immediately i knew I am tasting the best "ordinary bread" (meaning: not those orang kaya bread) in Malaysia. After that I have been searching high and low for it but could never find it. luckily, about last month, i finally found it in a Malay kedai runcit, and then in jusco, later more and m,ore kedai runcit started to have it. since then, i have never turn back to gardenia anymore... :-)
I'd advice people who dont know: their wheat germ bread (green plastic) that is supposed to be RM3.50, is now selling at RM 2.50 (promotional). i dunno when will it end and sell at RM 3.50. so for now, i eat it as much as i can... :-) |

Massimo is better after trying "after trying few times". Not because of the price it's cheaper, If same price i also go for massimo. at first launching in the market i don't think many ppl knows about the owner, me either. Ppl buy is because of promotional. Massimo only launch few months. and the quality is there. Nice theme design and taste compared to few brands. Not like H5. Already in the market for decade. still cannot compared with G. Massimo is slightly thicker slice and the taste is good also. Gardenia also good because no competitors. like KFC few years back.
If KFC vs Popeye. I go for popeye. No longer want to eat KFC already. Not because of the crony, i learn where spend my money for a decent meal. |

this is not about which bread tasted better or being racist or what....this is about malaysia.
because of the taking over of gardenia and made Robert Kuok moved away from malaysia, now malaysia had lost a great person and an asset for the economy. taste is not important when it comes to the growth of a country. |

Massimo cheats its customers.
When first introduced, Massimo said its new wheat germ bread is the new better taste bread in Malaysia, and with a better price. I remember the taste was better than Gardenia wholegrain (+wheat germ) bread, and of course cheaper. And Massimo's wheat germ bread became the daily servings in my family. Now after buying Gardenia wholegrain bread ..again.. I realise that Massimo's wheatgerm bread now is not the same as when it was first introduced months ago. Now it is lighter in colour, and taste more towards white bread, rather than wholegrain bread like before. And when put side by side with Gardenia's, Massimo's is definitely so much lighter in colour. No wonder its price is so much cheaper. It has far less wholegrain (wheatgerm) compared to Gardenia. this is not marketing gimmick. this is simply silap-mata their customers. no different from the scratch and win operators. mula-mula tunjuk lain, sudah beli sudah jadi customer dapat lain. |

QUOTE(amzek @ Jan 17 2012, 08:03 PM) Massimo cheats its customers. Since u mentioned it, this is what I found from the internet. Hope u find it useful. Very likely due to the extra fat.. Hmmm.. I stop buying Massimo after discovering the above nutritional facts. |

QUOTE(holyleonard @ Jan 14 2012, 09:30 PM) this is not about which bread tasted better or being racist or what....this is about malaysia. stupik fak.... robert kuok was a crony fo fak sake, all boikot gardenia, and massimo...... shheeesshhhhbecause of the taking over of gardenia and made Robert Kuok moved away from malaysia, now malaysia had lost a great person and an asset for the economy. taste is not important when it comes to the growth of a country. Early in the introduction phase, it's damn flavourful. Nowadays i eat it, it's just slightly more sweet than regular white bread. |

QUOTE(amzek @ Jan 25 2012, 07:45 PM) i stopped buying Massimo after realising their dirty business strategy. their 'wheatgerm' bread is cheaper than Gardenia's simply because it does not have enough wheatgerm and no wholegrains, and should only be comparable to Gardenia's white bread. So if compare Gardenia's white bread with Massimo's wheatgerm, which one is cheaper and which one has more nutrients?i dont care about politics in my food purchases. i simply do not support businesses that cheat their customers. |

Yep..i agree...when my mum bought Massimo wholegrain..i was looking at it for long time because i was wondering why it looks so white....and i took a piece and felt it's too sweet for my liking...told my mum and she nvr buy Massimo again. Still gardenia is the preferable for me

those chart value of gardenia is a bit not correct la but the massimo value is correct..
massimo bread a bit brown and gardenia bread is white and softer.. massimo bread is something almost like the green color packaging of gardenia..This is what i think la.. |
