erm, then in your opinion CDJ400 or 800 which is best value for $$? i'm only bedroom dj, with some experience playing at the bar and some gigs in uni and the radio station as well..

bedroom dj means any noob dj rite?
my skills still very noob la hahah..and i find it hard to cater to the crowd here, its usually the top40 stuff or rnb that ppl listen to whereas i play almost only psy...

i'd say no.5 applies pretty well to me too lol

last time i did that before i got my TTs. you'll need 2 soundcards, or at least 1 sound cards that supports 2 channels.
And you need 2x 1/4" RCA to 3.5mm cables (those are cheap, i reckon u can get from any computer shop). Plug in the 3.5mm end to your soundcard CH1 and CH2 out, and the 1/4" into you mixer CH1 CH2 in. The from mixer to your speakers just use the standard RCA into amp or something. To play/queue the track, just use some software like traktor mix or ableton, and remember to config the software so that you get your desired outputs. Basically what you're doing is beat matching/queuing your track using ur comp, and then use the external mixer to mix them up.

And i think another way to do it is maybe use Serato or Final Scratch, but instead of the output to your TTs, connect into mixer. Not sure if this works. Pls enlighten me haha.

i think my fav function of the CDJ800 is the quick return, its just so convenient to put ur finger on the platter and it'll go straight back to the cue point th platter of the 800 is also just about the right size. Havent used the flagship 1000 before so cant comment, but I've used the CDJ100 and 200s before, is CDJ400 is similar to them? so all the sifu here general comments CDJ400 not worth the $$? i was planning to get a pair d.. or maybe a pair of new or 2nd hand CDJ800mk2 heheh

not my djm400, its the radio station's...but i plan to get 1 for myself soon since i really like it!! care to enlighten on what kinda tricks to do on djm400?

btw i was quoted RM5480 for 1x DJM400 + 2x CDJ400, worth it to buy?
