the right way to upgrade your bb is

1. clear all others os from your pc -done
2. d/load latest os according to your bb model -done
3. install the os -done
4. go to C/prgram/common/rim/shared n check that os already installed- yes appeared
5. go to Apploader n delete Vendor.xml -done
6. back up bb via bbdm -done
7. back up 3rd party apps via bbsak n then wipe -done
8. when ur bb screen appear 507 after wiping, go to Apploader n click Loader - done
problem arises.
9. there u go until upgrading process completed

Dear Jeff Zain,
I have totally switch to your procedure, i managed to follow up to items no 8 and the same screen appear before.
The blackberry desktop software does not have
blackberry device software for the device that have
connected to the computer. contact your wireless service provider or
system administrator.

after deleting unwanted os from your pc, does your pc restart? try restart your pc n try again upgrading your os
during d/loading n install os no need to connect your bb
only connect it when u want to back up, wiping n instal new os in your bb

LHW,
My updating not bold 9900, on older torch. Do a couple of battery pull within 24hours should make the new os more stable. If not mistaken do 2-3 batt pull for the first day and follow by next on second day. Your bold should run smooth by then.
So how is the new OS any new finding, please share your finding in this BB comunity.
happy trying.
