The worst excuses installer will say... "something is wrong with your car as other car dont face that kind problem"...screw them...tell them to fixed it. Its not an easy task but installer must be responsible for long term business.

aeroplane sound or alternator whine is from some sort of grounding problem, which could come from any wire in yoursystem, could be amp ground, player ground, rca ground, etc etc.....

Toniseah: this is due to the known by audio ppl the term "Aeroplane sound" or distortion sound. This is a tricky part to tackle, either it is due to any of the following:

a) speakers wiring/ RCA wiring touching car panel or any other wires
b) low quality amps installed
c) power cable from car battery to ampl not properly covered/ protected by heat resist layer.

If the above all done and still has the sound, best to use "surpressor" to cut off those sounds. However, sound quality will reduced.

Hi bro... it seems to me your component amp is the one giving problem. Mind to share what brand is it? Do check the power cable from car battery to the amp. Most likely this is the source of problem.

easiest could be loose rca, difficult would be amp grounding to chassis not good, have to re-do, but worst problem of all, cant find the problem, haha.... sometimes rca terminal in amp or player ground solder loose, sometimes player need to add one more grounding wire, sometimes passive crossover too close to car ECU, sometimes speaker wire or rca wire too close to power cables, many many reasons lah....

Hi, to all the ICE expert, I need your help. I'm stupid about car audio. My car is persona year 2011.
I has install head unit Kenwood DDX5036. I did ask a few shops what I should install.
Some say power amp, pre amp, crossover, fuse, sub woofer, speaker, tweeter, and many more.
I only want nice quality music n sweet sound in my car. Not for autoshow. My budget RM3k.
1. What the different power amp 2 channel with 4 channels, their function and how to choose/use it?
2. What the different about 2 way component speakers, 3 way separate speakers,
3 or 4 way coaxial speakers? I'm blurr..
3. What is crossover function and is it has to use with tweeters?
4. I plan remove the ori persona speakers and install 2 tweeters to dashbox,2 speakers in front doors,
2 speakers at the back door, 2 speakers on the top rear cover to built a full surrounding sound.
Don't want to install subwoofer and using only one powerful Amp.
But, worry if using high watt amp will cause exploded in my car audio system
and my battery faster kong? I really need everyone opinion and advices. pliz help me.Tq so much.

I will try and answer a few simple ones...

3k is healthy for what you want.

2 or 4 channel is just amp that provide different numbers of output. 4ch you have 4 output, and vice versa.

1 powderful Amp for 3k with speakers might not be enough.

Your car won't explode with 1 amp only or rather 1 high watt amp. Your batt is safe, no worries.

not familiar with kenwood...
d 2 model I suggested is always used for competition or those with high expectation...
Me & bro MyWifeCar is a user of P80RS2 and is very satisfy with it...
if u dun plan to change HU...
u can consider to add pre-amp,electronic EQ or crossover...

but d easiest way is like what I suggested...
u can learn more about ICE during d journey in ICE-ing...

If you just recently install the kenwood head unit, I would suggest you leave it alone first. Use your current budget to get a decent power amp (2ch or 4ch depends on your needs), a component set that comes with passive crossover, appropriately size power cable and fuse, good quality rca cable, good installation and soundeadening work. Electronic crossover and preamp; these are not really necessary; a low quality ones will just add more noise to your system. Having subwoofer is good too, I'm not sure why you don't want it.

By what you want to do, ideally it will be best if you can have 8 channel of output. But would suggest minimum 6 channel of output.

keep your HU,

spend the money on amps, component set, and subs... second hand works even better...

here is an example list that could give you ample of good quality sound.

1. Genesis Dual Mono - RM1850 Click Here
2. Focal Access 165A1 - RM800 Click Here
3. Labour/Interconnects/Speaker cables/Baffles - RM350 (Depending on shops) Contact here

no need to add on any other stuff... this the the kind of setup you will want if your definition of SQ is what we normally perceive here.

and anothing thing... if your HU supports surround sound setup, you are gonna need a lot more amp than one. if it doesnt support surround sound then you will need to install a processor and amps to make the surround sound system works.

and to my estimation, both way above is going to crack your Rm3k budget easily, so my best recommendations, no need the surround sound, go for pure SQ setup, you enjoy more, less setting up headaches.

I'm sharing my experience. B4 i buy persona, I drive 2ndhand vios 2004. The ori vios sound system is bad. So,I go to the famous car accessories at my town install new one. The ICE installer recommended me many branded audio. They install 6 soundstreem speakers n Pegasus amp n others item. Total cost RM3882.00. I paid RM2k cash and the rest I paid use credits card. After 5/6 month, the sound not good like b4. Setting always lari, tune sound sharp, amp easily get hot and the woofer bass like batuk2. Then, I go back to the shop and complain. The tauke and workers pretend not know me. They ask me to go other shop. So, I go to other car accessories shop to check. They told me the amp I'm using not suitable, not support speakers watt,
speaker are bad quality sound and the grounding cable installation are terrible, so cincai. Some are loose, low quality cable, some unnecessary item being install and my HU, Trans 6.1" are fake..not ori Japan brand. Bullshit!!. I feel cheated!! I spends almost RM5k,not a small amount. My friend told me to report this matter to Pejabat kementerian kepenggunaan but I don't. Honestly, I feel very2 sad that time. I'm not rich person, just like normal people, kerja biasa cari mkn. After that, I don't want to do something without knowing about it. I not sure either I want to install subwoofer, coz worry no space n my wife noisy about it. That y for my persona,
I ask help from all the ICE expert in this forum. Bro Str33tBoY, Bro MyWifeCar, Bro lhsmedphy, Bro craziechild, thanks for giving me advices n opinion. Also thanks to anyone that could help me.

about ur questions:-

1) Read this http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Co...o_Multi-Channel

2) read this http://www.caraudiohelp.com/car_audio_spea...io_speakers.htm

3) read this http://sound.westhost.com/biamp-vs-passive.htm

in ice, make it as simple as possible, go for 2way front passive setup will do, u only need one 4channel amp, 1 2way component set speakers and a sub woofer, if u do not need a sub woofer, u can bridge ur 4channel amp to drive ur component set.
