No worries dear, after you signed up they will usually offer you the Body First kit - 3 sessions with a PT. You will pay for it initially RM250+ but if you come to the gym at least 3 times a week for 3 months, they will refund the money to you (note that you will need to fill a form and ask for refund, and wait a little bit).
Maximize your questions during those 3 sessions (1hr per session). The PT will teach you how to use the treadmill, machines, advice you on your food etc. No doubt they'll do some pep talk and get you to sign him/ her up for PT afterwards.
Even if the PT did not teach you how to use some of the machines, you can always ask some of PT at the counter and they'll tell you (there are nice ones and grudging ones, mind you). Or, better still, ask some of the members and make friends
that's how you initiate conversation. Don't need to be shy.
As you know... spot reduction is a myth so if you have high body fat content, then you'll need to reduce it. I would recommend HIIT - such as Body Attack class (whereby Paradigm doesn't have it, sorry).
You like dancing classes?
nice, you can go for Sh'bam, Body Jam or Zumba. There's quite a lot of yoga classes as well and aerobics (HIIT) - Attack - you can join another club for the program. LesMills program are very fun and intense, you'll love them.
100% agree with you, I won't last a month if it's machine all the way
not my type of a workout.
I prefer hardcore.....especially when umi is the instructor......i sweat like a pig after that..... Maximize your questions during those 3 sessions (1hr per session).
