Hi all, I got quoted about RM890 for 4 months home membership at an FF branch (supposedly includes towel usage). Me thinks its a bit pricey. Is it and can i nego more?

Yea.. used to go to AK as passport member. Now the sudden upgrade really makes thing inconvenient.
I think AK is not up to par as platinum club.. hope they bring in grit series, maybe i'll consider to upgrade my membership then..

The power of a Hey Manager form should not be underestimated. Fill in the form and request for Grit. I have a friend who started to frequent AK due to work and he wanted to request for Grit too. The more request there is, the higher the chance they will bring in the program. It might not be immediate but at least you're heard

Any feedback on Fitness First Empire? Are the trainers helpful and do they offer daytime memberships? I'll only be going in the daytime, during office hours.

There's a chart for trainers at the individual gym.

3 types of membership only.

Plat , Passport and Home.

Sadly, Empire is a plat club, so you only got 1 option of membership, IIRC.

Visit AK once during non peak hour, looks decent with new flooring and equipment oversee Klcc towel. But no sure about the crowd or members there.

Can't quit yet, since the one paying for the membership says don't quit.

Already put my account to freeze, surveying some nearby local gym .

If you quite sure FF is not your cup of tea, just quit. No need to freeze then quit.

FF do not deserve to get our donation.

Empire FF is generally quite fine, come with swimming pool. We can get RM1 discount if we scan our parking ticket at the FF counter.

Except the lifts which can be quite annoying....Only two lifts to access the FF in soho building level 8....can be quite pack in the lift sometimes and need to wait for 5 to 10 mins get into the lift if unlucky because some shopper share the same lift. If you wait at Level G to L8 (for example), the lift from lower parking level can go straight up to L2 etc without stopping at Level G because it has already full.

There is one time the indonesian cleaner push the rubbish bin into the lifts after I have been waiting for 10 min. Need to get out from the lift and wait again. but luckily that does not happened frequently.

I been two FF for 2 years, just that now I find a newer gym near my area and and cheaper.

I never been to the classes this 2 years, just do weights and cardio machine, so I feel its wasting paying 200 a month.
Even towel service in Leisure Mall FF every weekend sure habis before I reach.

Plan to terminate next month hopefully if the new places are good.

don't know what u guys think, for me, no doubt celebrity is definitely one class above fitness first.

conclusion is...don't waste so much $$$ for fitness first. expensive and not good....
