Yes, all 3 will be exceptionally crappy now, just like FF. I fail to understand if there are any consumer protection law against such monopolisation, Uber was bought by Grab resulting in lack of competition and consumer being the ultimate looser. In my opinion its about time to support smaller neighbour hood gyms instead of these big chains.

Mergers and acquisitions happen so it's no biggie. There are still other gyms (chain/ ghetto) around that you're free to join/ go for.

Gym is also about location and facilities, apart from service. As long as the basics are well maintained and caters to my requirement/ what i want, personally i have no issue with it - be it a monopoly or smaller gym. If you're really unhappy with the gym, lodge a complain.

I am letting go my fitness first membership, dual club. Can access Celebrity and Fitness First all across the world. I'm a member since 2014 and no contract left, just that im letting go to anyone who want to continue with this price MYR 221.19. No need to pay registration and all the hassle.

Was told that as a member of CF, I can bring along 1 non member masuk every time I go workout , is it true?

Not sure about CF but FF member that has been a member for a year can bring in a friend on weekends.

Hi gym kakis

I am planning to downgrade my FF Platinum Membership to FF Home Membership and I was told by the customer service that there is a downgrade fee of RM149.

Have anyone ever successfully ask for a waiver of this downgrade fee? I have been a member for 3 years and counting.

Would it be better if I just cancel my membership and reapply as a new member.

The other alternative is to apply the AIA vitality membership to enjoy the lower monthly fees.

You may also check with FF on the latest membership fees. Should be higher than what you pay currently.

Manage to convince FF to waive the downgrade fee by highlighting to them that I have been a member for 2 years n counting.

interesting. Traditional human fitness class instructors can be replaced by virtual classes screen.

In future, gyms may not need so many body combat, steps, body pump etc. human instructors any more.
