that's the thing bro.. now yuo're  so down etc etc.. the moment you get 4s in your hands.. can u imagine how jovial and estatic you will be?.. great marketing strategy from apple..
*
Don't think that will be the case for some fussypots who compares his/her 4S's screen to their previous iPhone 4 then finds out the 4S's screen pales in comparison to his/her iPhone 4 and screams "Yellowgate! Change set please" only to find out after checking the next 10 sets they are the same. What happens next?

First 3 days of launching 4S it has sold more than 3 million units.. Explain the sales shattering record for mobile industry... Whatever iphone apple launch it will break record..we cannot deny the figure.. to date.. AAPL share is getting stronger .. when march 12 comes.. pad3..it'll shoot up again..look at us now..haha...

simply because they're too sensative abt their phone..it's normal.. when you buy new car.. first few months sure sayang2 giler.. after 1-2 years you see.. scratch abit never mind.. we're human after all..nothing is perfect wan lar.. yellowgate all this is subjective topic to discuss abt... let's just enjoy what we're here from the beginning:)))
*
Difference now from before is the first 3 days of launching the problem isn't known yet. It is after most that got their phones only that they realise about the yellow tint. Fact is people know about the problem now and as you mentioned, we are people and when there is a hole in the ground and people have seen someone fall into it before naturally when you walk on the same path your eyes will be firmly on the ground wary about the hole.

I've gotten my 4S for about a week now already but I will be queuing anyway. Most of my mates generally don't mind about the yellow tint and some even found it to be nicer than the overly bluish iPhone 4 screen. Would be interesting to see people's reactions though on the 16th as there are bound to be people like I mentioned in my previous post, you can bet on that.

Anyone here who is going to buy with installment plan? beside that i would like to ask last year iphone 4 is there any people use installment to buy your iphone??
*
Instalment plan 0% for selected banks no worries.

Maybank, Public Bank, Citibank, HSBC and CIMB.

Just swipe your card and it will be reflected in your next statement.

Do note though with instalment plan you need to pay a deposit of 200 - 400 depending on plan but the deposit they will refund to you in the form of deduction from upcoming bills.

Just curious, don't you guys think it will be a little more expensive than ip4 launch price with ip4s new processor and camera? Do you think it will affect the price?  hmm.gif
*
It will be the same price or cheaper judging by the trend Apple has priced their products in the past.

It will price at 1.8k to 1.9k with 1 yeAr ivalue 100. If its truen, i will skip it. Too expensive. Will get the white s2 instead at price 1.7k new.
*
The 32 GB iPhone 4 was RM1990 last year with iValue 100 1 year contract. 16GB was about 1.6 to 1.7? Your S2 priced at 1.7k new has 16GB of memory only as well. So I don't see the difference?

@suadrif And what is all these talk about minimum spec? The only difference between the iPhone 4S is only the capacity? There is no minimum spec or maximum spec -____-'''''

bro, read back my previous post and understand it properly.
i already explain it the whole story:

RRP for the iPhone has in fact been the same or gone down throughout the years even with newer and more powerful models. And as mentioned countless times that the pricing is regulated by Apple themselves, the price will most likely be the same or lower slightly compared to the iPhone 4.

yes, RRP is controlled by apple.
what i mean is the overall package.
sorry if what i mentioned is not clear and not specific.
what i am try to emphasize here, is celcom can manipulate their package price.
what definitely its gonna be is, telco price wont be higher than apple store rrp

but until now, apple have not release the official price rite?
do u understand my first sentence or not?
we are making assumption on what is the RRP for iphone 4S.
its just an assumption. not a fact. not a calculation. thats it.
*
The example you gave of Celcom's iPhone 4 package promo of as low as RM200 or whatever last year compared to their RM558 on 2 year i248 package or whatever package they are offering for the 4S this year is absolutely ridiculous though.

Bear in mind Celcom had to come up with all sorts of gimmicks or whatever promos they could think of because by the time they launched the iPhone 4 last year I would've already grown a beard that touches the floor. They were at a disadvantage last year as compared to Maxis and Digi by launching it way later hence the attractive promos or gimmicks.

i dont care about your beard touches the floor.
i dont talk bout age in this case.
what i said is, it is a logical assumption for the RRP.
a price dont depend on how long your beard grown.
in business, when u mentioned "as low as", its indicate a lowest offer that promo can offer.
regardless of the situation in iphone 4.

fine, u are saying that last time iphone 4 promo is cheap because of the disadvantage.
but it is still rm200 cheapest with rrp rm2190.
what about rm550 cheapest? dont u see it? it can be more than mentioned by rumors.
because the rumors from malaysianwireless said that cheapest is rm2190 for 16gb.
what i mentioned is what kind of RRP it will be.
is it launch as same as the rumors says?
or will it be as expensive in the garage sales nowadays?
have u ever see the market price in garage sales recently?
since u have your beard grown that touches the floor, i assume u did.
the price is reaching RM3100++!!
for us, iphone 4S pricing around RM2400 is already expensive!
why? because u can get it easily in the garage sales without waiting pain in the ass for 2 months!!

i know the RRP wont be much difference compared to other country.
but what we try to clarify here is, we hope that the price mentioned in malaysianwireless is true..
its not 100% correct but its 99% reliable and dependable.
of course the price will not as high as RM5000++
that would be ridiculous!
*
As mentioned countless times the RRP is regulated by Apple! and in US or AUS or any other damn country the RRP price of the iPhone 4S was the same if not less than the iPhone 4 so what makes you think Malaysia is so special and it will be a whole lot different?

Have you ever seen the market price last year for the iPhone 4 in garage sales? it was about the same, no surprises there.

RM 200 cheapest rrp RM 2190 for iPhone 4 because Celcom was at a disadvantage. Now they are on equal footing with Maxis and Digi they can always sell it at RM550 for their package for a rrp RM2190 4S and people will still buy from them.

See the 2 bolded parts? Contradictory indeed.

u chip in in the middle of conversation, dont understand what i m talking about and suddenly come out with a well-known statement.
YES or course the price is controlled by Apple! everyone knows that.
did i mentioned in my first post that how much it would be expensive?
i never mentioned that price in Malaysia will be ridiculously high.
do i ever need to repeat it 200 times? its an assumption that the price would be more higher than RM2190.
above RM2190, we considered it as expensive because there is in garage sales selling it at low as RM2300 and as high as RM3100!
why need to wait for months just because of RM100 difference?
i did never mentioned that Maxis, Celcom or Digi would offer a self-own price that higher than apple store!

QUOTE
i would say its kinda expensive~
bcoz last time iphone 4 celcom promo is "get iphone 4 as low as RM200++" with RRP rm2190.
i am not confident enuf to pay rm200 deposit bcoz afraid the price is high. perhaps around rm2500?

bcoz if i am the seller, my promo will be the cheapest and the lowest that u can get.
when u want cheapest, u have to take minimum spec, longest period, with lowest package plan.
for iphone 4, the cheapest mentioned by celcom promo is rm200++, and the RRP is RM2190
but for iphone 4S, the cheapest mentioned by celcom is RM550??

i wonder how much is the RRP

This is from your own comments. You are contradicting yourself more often than not. You mentioned that you knew the RRP won't be much difference because its regulated by Apple and then you go on to say last year Celcom sells at 200 for a RRP2190 iPhone. Then now its RM550 then you can't imagine the RRP of the 4S because they sell it at RM550 now for their package. And then you go on to say again that you know its obvious that it won't be much difference than the iPhone 4.

If you knew all those then you would've already known that the iPhone 4 last year in Msia the retail price for Celcom is RM2190 for the 16GB and if you had already known all those mentioned above you would've taken into consideration the price could be around RM2190-ish plus or minus a bit and not post like "imagine how much it would be la" "wonder how much la" etc.

Everytime I post something you said like you know everything but your previous posts says otherwise.

I'm stopping here anyway. You can continue to fire away all you want if you want. wink.gif

Iphone 4S owner here. Would like to ask a question. So far, mine is at ios5.0. Battery seems to juice out a little bit faster than iphone 4, despite all location, notification, icloud turned off. Those who have iphone 4s, can you please check if upgrading to ios5.0.1 fixes the battery issue? What I read on the net said even with ios5.1b, the battery issue is not solved yet. Any ideas?
*
You can choose to upgrade if you want. My 4S is on 5.0.1 but I don't think there is much of a difference than iOS 5.0 in terms of the battery issue. If I remember correctly Apple did come out and state that iOS 5.0.1 is not a battery fix.

Despite all the praises for pre-order from Digi and Celcom, I still feel its quite risky to pre-order without knowing the plan and price and I feel its not right for them to that...

Anyway this only works for those who are on the fence and its a different story if you already have your heart set on whichever Telco no matter what the plan and what the price.
